Description de poste

Join a global team dedicated to improving the societies we live in through sustainable, electric mobility.

The opportunity

We're currently looking for a Finance Trainee. Someone to join our Finance team in Switzerland in order to support financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting processes. Someone with a passion for electric mobility, a keen interest in financial data, and a desire to create change in a forward-thinking company like Polestar. This role will involve collaboration across teams, especially in the areas of supplier invoicing, dealer claims, and financial reporting.

This position is located in Zürich, Switzerland and is a one-year traineeship. We believe in a hybrid model when it comes to remote and onsite work, knowing that both in-person collaboration and individual time to focus are needed. What matters most is that people get the time and support to do what needs to be done and enjoy doing it, of course.

The responsibilities

In this trainee role, you'll learn about various financial processes by working closely with the finance team, ensuring accurate record-keeping and supporting financial processes. Working as a member of the finance team, you'll be instrumental in maintaining financial integrity and supporting daily operations. See below for a breakdown of the main objectives of the traineeship and responsibilities :

  • Support accounts payable, ensuring supplier invoices are booked and paid
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the general ledger to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded
  • Support the validation and process dealer claims, ensuring completeness and accuracy of documentation
  • Assist in calculating dealer claims based on promotional activities and follow up on credit note issuance
  • Monitor dealer stock levels and provide internal reports

The ideal candidate

In order to succeed in this role, and at Polestar in general, you'll need to be detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. We expect you to have excellent communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external dealers. You'll thrive in this role if you're able to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and proactively solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

In addition, you'll need the following qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proficiency in German and English (both written and spoken)
  • Ability to work with financial data and perform calculations accurately
  • Experience with financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
  • Polestar is an international company with a diverse team. English is our main language of communication, but being a global company, you'll have the chance to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that is both exciting and challenging. Expect an accelerating journey as Polestar Switzerland continues to grow.

    The process

If the above matches your ambitions, be sure to apply. Our selection process is ongoing, and the job advert will remain open until the position is filled.

The Polestar journey is an electric one.
