Sonova Communications AG, located in Murten, is a company of the Sonova Group. We are the global market leader and Sonova’s competence center for ultra-miniaturized wireless communication systems. Our product offering ranges from communication devices for hearing impaired persons to professional communication solutions for security, industry, and broadcast applications.

Join our mission and become part of our Research & Development team, where you are responsible for the development of radio platforms. You are involved in the design, implementation, and maintenance of wireless communication systems. Your domain of competency focuses on antenna and RF circuit design.

Your tasks

  • Define the architecture of RF solutions and circuits
  • Define technical specifications of RF functions (RF circuits & antenna)
  • Selection of RF components
  • Perform the simulation of RF circuits
  • Define verification test plans and perform the verification test of RF modules
  • Participate to product design review and product risk analysis
  • Perform hardware modifications on RF modules
  • Perform troubleshooting related to EMI (Electromagnetic Interferences)
  • Follow-up of product RF certification (test laboratory)
  • IP assessment
  • Development of prototypes and demonstrators (including PCB design).
  • Technology assessment in RF domain (antenna or transceiver chipset performance)
  • Transfer of antenna concepts into industrial products
  • Feasibility studies with internal and external partners

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in Electronics or Microelectronics; advantageous to have a major in Radio Frequency
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of proven work experience in RF design for wireless systems
  • Experience in 3D electromagnetic simulation for the purpose of antenna design
  • Experience with RF related lab equipment
  • Experience in analog electronics design
  • Experience in PCB design
  • Independent, self-driven, committed, and enthusiastic personality
  • Strong solution orientation and communication skills
  • Fluent in English, good knowledge in French and / or German is a plus
