Our dedicated Protein Conjugation Plant facility (PCP) is recognized as a center of excellence for Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADC) as well as other classes of BioConjugates. What you will do

• As a Bioprocess Engineer or Manufacturing Line Specialist, you provide intensive “hands-on” technical and organisational support for the manufacturing of Bioconjugate drug substances.
• Using your deep knowledge and understanding of state-of-the-art production equipment, you collaborate with internal technical stakeholders to bring manufacturing systems online through your contributions to commissioning, qualification and validation activities.
• In close collaboration with process experts, automation and engineering teams regarding process control systems and MES, you support technical deviation investigations, change controls, risk assessments, and regulatory documentation, and lead troubleshooting as first point of contact in case of equipment malfunctions.
• You provide your colleagues who work in the production facility with a good level of training regarding cGMP, HSE, hygiene, and technical competencies.
• You ensure operational readiness and continuity, with uncompromising regard for safety, quality, and on-time-in-full delivery.
• You implement the One-Lonza vision and culture and support its further development through openness to change, new ideas, and continuous improvements.

What we are looking for:

• Completed apprenticeship as a biotechnological/pharmaceutical/chemical technologist (chemical technician), or B.Sc./M.Sc. degree in technical or scientific field
• Relevant work experience in large-scale manufacturing plants, preferably hands-on experience in running GMP operations in the biotech industry
• Knowledge of typical industry units including chromatography, ultrafiltration, etc.
• Knowledge in process automation (Manufacturing Execution System) is preferred, but not required
• Excellent communication skills in English are essential.
• Working proficiency in German is a strong advantage, but not required
