Senior

SAP Basis Engineer (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced

and proactive Senior SAP Basis Engineer to join a global IT team

supporting complex SAP landscapes. In this role, you will be

responsible for the administration, optimization, and reliability

of SAP systems, ensuring high performance, security, and alignment

with business objectives.

This is a fully remote

position, ideal for someone who thrives in an autonomous work

environment while maintaining strong communication and

collaboration with distributed teams.

Key

Responsibilities

Administer,

maintain, and optimize SAP systems including S / 4HANA, ECC, BW,

Solution Manager, and related

components

Plan and execute

installations, upgrades, patches, and migrations across on-premise

and cloud environments

(Azure)

Monitor system

performance, troubleshoot critical incidents, and perform

performance tuning to ensure stability and

availability

Support backup,

recovery, and disaster recovery processes across SAP

landscapes

Collaborate with

development, functional, and infrastructure teams on enhancements,

new implementations, and ongoing

operations

Review and

interpret detailed business and technical requirements to ensure

alignment between business needs and IT

capabilities

Coordinate and

plan SAP upgrades and project-related

activities

Drive continuous

improvement initiatives, including automation and system

optimization

Create and

maintain technical documentation for SAP systems and

processes

Ensure compliance

with internal IT standards, security policies, and best

practices

Perform technology

scouting, run proof-of-concepts, evaluate new solutions, and

collaborate with

vendors

Provide technical

guidance and mentoring to junior team members when

required

Required Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor’s

degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related

field

8+ years of hands-on

experience in SAP Basis

administration

Strong

expertise in SAP architecture, including S / 4HANA, ECC, and SAP

BW

Proven experience with

SAP upgrades and migrations, including cloud environments

(Azure)

Solid database

administration experience (SAP HANA, Oracle, or SQL

Server)

Strong understanding

of SAP security concepts and role-based access

control

Experience with

monitoring tools such as SAP Solution Manager, EarlyWatch Alerts,

and system monitoring

utilities

Excellent

analytical and troubleshooting skills with strong attention to

detail

Strong communication

and collaboration skills, particularly in remote

environments

Business-level

English

proficiency

Preferred

Qualifications

Experience

working in Agile

environments

Familiarity

with ITIL frameworks and

processes

SAP Basis or SAP

HANA certification is an

advantage
