Associate - Real Estate
Your team
Pictet Alternative Advisors (PAA) is a leading alternative investment specialist and wholly owned subsidiary of the Pictet Group, with expertise in hedge funds, private equity and global real estate.
With teams based globally the PAA teams construct, manage and advise on portfolios of alternative investment solutions for institutional and private clients.
The Group has strong development ambitions for PAA for theing years, notably to expand its product offering to include additional asset classes and to further develop its institutional client base.
In view of these developments, Pictet Alternative Advisors is looking to hire an Associate with strong Real Estate experience and expertise to steer its development.
You will be joining a dynamic and growing multi manager real estate team, investing in funds, co-investments and secondary transactions organised by geographies and sectors, managing a portfolio of about 45 top-tier GPs with AUM of USD
Your role
Based in Geneva and working under the supervision of a Senior Investment Manager, you will be mainly covering two key real estate investment markets : Europe and Asia.
Your mission will include the following :
1. Investment
- Sourcing, meeting and selecting private real estate managers active across the target regions and sectors.
- Performing the appropriate due diligence and underwriting on funds, co-investments and secondary opportunities.
- Monitoring existing investments and reporting key relevant information.
- Running ad hoc analyses and answering clients' requests.
2. Strategy & Development
- Participating in defining the strategy within the Multi Manager Real Estate team to build up a portfolio of funds and co-investments.
- Identifying industry trends and performing research to build strong convictions.
- Participating actively in the development of the secondary offering in APAC.
- Interacting with PAA Real Estate stakeholders including bankers, customer relationship managers, and clients.
Your profile
- Advanced university degree in Finance, Economics or another degree deemed equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years' work experience in real estate, either through direct, fund investments or investment banking supported by a personal track record.
- Excellent modeling & MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proven analytical / logical thinking capabilities, diligent, with a keen eye for detail and focus on results.
- Outstanding spoken and writtenmunication skills, with the ability to present and express your convictions in a clear manner.
- Perfectmand of English and at least one other European / Asian language (basic socialmunication skills in French will be a plus).
