Since its establishment in the late 19th century, our client has evolved into a global leader in machinery and plant engineering for the coffee industry, employing approximately 1000 people worldwide. The company has expanded its expertise to include significant segments of the food processing industry, including a recent acquisition that emphasizes its growth strategy and highlights its leadership in global markets.
POSITION OVERVIEW :
For our client, we are seeking a seasoned Group Head of HR to lead its global human resources operations and spearhead strategic initiatives. The appointed candidate will play a pivotal role in reformulating HR practices, ensuring adherence to Dutch labor laws, and enhancing the synergy between global and regional HR teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Develop and implement cutting-edge HR strategies to improve operational excellence.
Promote a strategic vision within the HR function, aligning it with the organization's overarching goals and values.
Partner with senior management to facilitate organizational change and cultivate a culture of trust and development.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Dutch labor regulations to guarantee compliance across all HR activities.
Offer support and advice on legal issues related to employment contracts, termination procedures, and workplace policies.
Manage discussions regarding the administration of payroll, evaluating whether to maintain external services or shift to an in-house system.
Ensure precise and efficient payroll processing, meeting all tax and regulatory requirements.
Exchange expertise and best practices with the HR team in Germany to bridge knowledge gaps and enhance HR frameworks.
Work with global HR teams to unify processes and increase efficiency in various locations.
Articulate and implement a comprehensive HR vision that integrates local and global functions, focusing on leadership development, employment benefits, and employee satisfaction.
Aim to standardize HR systems and practices to boost efficiency and unity across the company.
Collaborate closely with the CFO to align HR initiatives with the financial and strategic plans of the company.
Enhance the company’s image through HR practices that promote employee engagement and satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
At least 8 years of experience in HR leadership roles and 15 years overall in HR, with a focus on strategic HR management and compliance with Dutch labor laws.
Proven track record of driving organizational change and fostering a culture of trust and development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and locations.
Fluency in Dutch and English; proficiency in German is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
