Senior Scientist - Ecotoxicology

Our Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Ecotoxicologist for our Chemical Regulation and Food Safety Practice in Harrogate (UK), Nottingham (UK), London (UK), Dublin (IE), Mannheim (DE) or Basel (SW) offices; homeworking will also be considered.

You will be responsible for

• Conducting environmental risk assessments for plant protection products as required by EU legislation (Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009)
• Providing advice to clients on plant protection product ecotoxicology/environmental risk assessment issues
• Summarising and interpreting data, including study reports and published literature in the area of ecotoxicology, drawing sound scientific and regulatory conclusions
• Data gap analysis, developing testing strategies and monitoring ecotoxicology studies
• Providing verbal and/or written inputs to multi-disciplinary project teams and contributing to providing high level strategic advice to clients and high-quality outputs

You will have the following skills and qualifications

• MSc. degree or equivalent in relevant discipline (. biology, environmental science)
• Experience of completing environmental risk assessments under EU plant protection product legislation (. Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009).
