Destinations Experience Expert

JOB PURPOSE

Explora Journeys is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, European luxury brand, imagined in the heart of Swiss Hospitality and luxury in Geneva. Leveraging our parent company MSC Group's hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of six ships(four currently in the pipeline) are being built and designed in a different and unique way that will transform and redefine the cruise experience, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travelers.

An exciting opportunity exists for a world class Destinations Experience Expert to join our newly created luxury travel brand “Explora Journeys” who will be responsible for setting up experiences in destinations as well as innovate and oversee destinations in specific areas.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Scout TOs, DMCs in specific destinations/areas in accordance with our high level standards including bidding process, comparative study, selection process

• Work on new ideas, experiences in destinations, manage independently the full product creation, assign tasks and ensure delivering is on time

• Strong negotiation of best possible pricing for return of investment

• Follow up with different departments like digital, marketing,business integration, IT to publish the experiences in all the systems(Seaware, Otalio, PIM, Crunchtime)

• Work with Marketing on the wording, copywriting, pictures and createbrief descriptions

• Manage contracting, manuals, training for TOs, DMCs in specificareas

• Train onboard team, travel advisors and sales excellence on product

• HR support for hiring interviews and rotation of shipboard team

• Support EEC for DestEx inquiries and support onboard teams

QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)

Bachelor Degree and/with extensive industry (tourism, cruise..) experiences

• At least 7-10 years Shorex Experience onboard or on shore for a cruise company

• Multitasking and ability to cope with last minute demands and smooth coordination

• Strong negotiation and financial skills

• Ability to motivate and manage staff

• Fluent in English, other languages are a plus

• Preferences if knowledge of Seaware/Versonix, Otalio, Crunchtime
