As On's Director of Product Operations, you are responsible for leading the Product Operations team and your role is pivotal in driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of our product engine to ensure efficiency, innovation and digitalization. You are a visionary leader who can inspire and empower a diverse group of talents, fostering a sense of purpose and ownership. You have in-depth knowledge of end-to-end Product Creation, deep understanding of operational processes and methodologies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve productivity throughout the product lifecycle, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for guiding and fostering the growth of people and organizations.

Your Mission

Lead the Product Operations team who looks after e.g. R&D functional KPI cockpit, product creation and commercialisation calendar, process improvement, digitalization, packaging development, product compliance, item master data and more
Closely collaborate with Product Creation, Innovation, Product Strategy, Design, Sustainability, Sourcing as well as Technology, Supply Chain and other teams
Develop and drive the Product Operations strategy and strategic initiatives aligned with On's long-term vision and objectives
Shape the future of the organization & product and bring On's product engine to the next level through digitalization, innovation and operational excellence
Nurture an extraordinary team, with a focus on team engagement and development, and foster a culture of entrepreneurship, collaboration and inclusivity
As a key leader in On's extended leadership team, champion, safeguard and evolve On's unique culture, as we continue to grow and ignite more human spirits through movement

Your Story

15+ years of experience in a highly dynamic R&D and Supply Chain environment, in consumer products industries

You have deep knowledge of product lifecycle management as well as end-to-end Product Creation, including ideation, design, development, production and launch

You have a successful track record in establishing and driving operational excellence, and implementing operational strategies to improve efficiency while infusing innovation

You bring a wealth of experience in leading high performing operational teams, and you are able to inspire, motivate, coach and guide teams towards a common purpose and goals

You are a strategic yet pragmatic thinker and problem solver, with sharp business acumen and a natural instinct to make the best business decision based on imperfect information

You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, which enable you to build meaningful relationships and work seamlessly with other functions, to ensure a smooth running product engine

You have deep understanding of data analytics, paired with the ability to use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive key initiatives

You are familiar with technologies and industry trends in digital product creation and operations

You have an academic background in Business Administration, Operations Management or related fields

This position is based in Zurich, Switzerland and our working language is English

Meet The Team

The Product Operations team is co-piloting On's product engine to foster a culture of operational excellence. We ensure a smooth product engine through an automation first mindset, and through establishing KPIs and infusing data-driven insights in our decision making. Our team continuously works to improve calendars, systems, processes and data governance, while identifying inefficiencies and steering transformation & change management efforts. We lead R&D towards a more digital future and ensure a seamless data flow while leveraging digital creation tools. We drive global compliance of products and P&L by staying updated on regulations and mitigating risks proactively.

This team acts as the bridge between the different R&D teams as well as other teams and ensures alignment, clear communication and effective collaboration.
