Main tasks & responsibilities :

• Ensure that all testing personnel perform tests according to established policies and procedures
• Provide day-to-day supervision and oversight of laboratory operations
• Monitor quality control procedures to ensure accurate test performance
• Ensure compliance with CLIA regulations and state requirements
• Review and resolve technical problems related to test performance
• Identify training needs and provide remedial training when necessary
• Verify that testing methods and procedures are performed correctly
• Ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary
• Review and document performance specifications for accuracy and reliability
• Provide guidance and training to improve staff performance
• Ensure staff maintain required certifications and continuing education
• Maintain accurate records of all test results, quality control activities, and personnel competency assessments
• Ensure laboratory personnel follow proper biosafety and infection control protocols
• Oversee the proper maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment
• Ability to deal with client information in a confidential manner
