Proclinical is seeking a Senior Scientist specializing in Biomarker Development to join a dynamic team in Switzerland. In this hands-on, laboratory-based role, you will focus on developing and validating state-of-the-art biomarker assays to support clinical programs. Collaborating with global experts, you will contribute to the implementation of innovative biomarker technologies, enabling smarter decision-making and improved patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and validate soluble biomarker assays, with a focus on ligand binding assays such as ELISA, MSD, NULISA, and Ella, as well as advanced technologies like LC-MS.
- Provide expertise in transferring, implementing, and monitoring biomarker assay development, validation, and sample analysis at external providers.
- Generate and interpret biomarker assay data to support proof of mechanism, dose selection, and proof of biology in early clinical programs.
- Present results at internal meetings and ensure the quality and timely delivery of data from both internal and outsourced activities.
- Serve as the scientific and technical lead for exploratory soluble biomarker assays, including strategy, data quality, interpretation, documentation, and alignment with clinical study endpoints.
- Maintain high standards for scientific rigor, data integrity, compliance, safety, and technical excellence.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Degree in Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, or a related field, with relevant laboratory experience.
- Strong expertise in ligand binding assays; experience with LC-MS methods and related technologies is a plus.
- Analytical thinking, accountability, and collaborative teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to biomarker development (e.g., GCLP, ICH).
- Proficiency in software tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SoftMax Pro, SMART Book, GraphPad Prism, and Watson LIMS.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in a global organization or matrix-resourcing model is advantageous.
