Your key tasks include: underwriting business within the agreed business plan and individual authority; supporting the business planning and forecasting process; monitoring financial exposure within outlined limits; monitoring premium income to ensure it remains within set limits; maintaining awareness of all claims advised while supporting and providing input on settlement of claims; ensuring adequate reinsurance acquired to cover specific risks; building and maintaining relationships with brokers and clients; supporting the design and structure of risks. /p pThis is a regulated role under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity regime. /p h3What you’ll be doing /h3 pWhat will your essential responsibilities include? /p ul liOwn and develop a distinctive General Aviation portfolio in Switzerland /li liAssess and price complex, high-profile risks using actuarial tools and market insights, in close cooperation with regional and global functions /li liAnalyse submission data and loss runs, and perform market research to determine the degree of risk and make clear underwriting decisions /li liStructure and negotiate deals, define conditions and manage capacities in line with our Underwriting Guidelines and Risk Appetite Strategy /li liEngage with clients and brokers to build trusted relationships and generate business opportunities through site visits or participation at industry events. /li /ul pYou will report to the Underwriting Manager Aerospace, Switzerland. /p h3What you’ll bring /h3 pWe’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: /p ul liSeveral years of experience as an Aerospace Underwriter with deep knowledge of the (local) general aviation insurance market /li liKnowledge of the Aerospace industry is a significant benefit /li liPassion for anything that flies with the willingness and motivation to go the extra mile to keep our clients airborne /li liThrives when working in a dynamic environment and can adapt to changes with ease /liliPuts the team's interests before their own and fosters a positive and inclusive team environment /li liLoves to be empowered and feels comfortable taking decisions and managing multiple priorities /li liFluent in German and English (speaking and writing).
