Specialist Corporate Actions (Temporary)

For our client, an established Swiss private bank with a strong entrepreneurial culture, we are looking for an experienced Senior Specialist Corporate Actions & Fund Operations to strengthen the team in Zurich.

This is a temporary assignment offering an opportunity to take on a specialist role at the intersection of securities operations, fund processing, and corporate actions. The position combines hands-on involvement in day-to-day trading operations with a strong focus on process optimisation, standardisation, and the development of efficient and sustainable operating models.

Your Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the continuous improvement and standardisation of processes related to corporate actions and fund operations
• Support day-to-day trading activities and provide operational relief to key team members, while developing a strong understanding of the underlying processes and interfaces
• Review existing workflows and controls across the corporate actions process chain and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and consistency
• Conduct structured root-cause analyses to identify operational weaknesses, implement sustainable corrective measures, and ensure that issues are escalated appropriately
• Develop and maintain a robust basis for the automation and digitalisation of fund processing activities, with a particular focus on reducing manual interventions
• Analyse existing fund-related processes and identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve controls, and increase operational efficiency
• Play a key role in the processing of corporate actions relating to infrastructure investments, including clarifying, and documenting processes, responsibilities, and interfaces
• Coordinate closely with Trading, Custodian Banks, infrastructure investment providers, fund management companies, outsourced back-office partners and Front Office
• Contribute to the establishment of clear responsibilities, effective controls, and seamless end-to-end processes across the relevant stakeholders
• Independently handle complex or exceptional cases and provide reliable cover within fund trading operations when required

Your Profile

• Several years of professional experience in Corporate Actions, securities operations, fund processing, or a comparable specialist function within financial services
• Strong practical knowledge of operational securities and fund processes
• Good Avaloq knowledge and a solid understanding of the interaction between SIX SIS, custody processes, and fund-related workflows
• Structured, precise, and reliable working style, with a strong focus on quality and adherence to deadlines
• Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to identify root causes, develop practical solutions and implement improvements effectively
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex or exceptional cases independently
• Sufficient seniority and assertiveness to manage external service providers effectively and follow up on outstanding matters with the necessary persistence
• Ability to operate confidently across different functions and stakeholders and to act as a dependable interface between internal teams and external partners
• Willingness to actively contribute to the further digitalisation, standardisation, and optimisation of operational processes
