THE ROLE
- Bring premium brand plans to life in Travel Retail, from strategy, financials and channel briefs through 360 activation and door-level execution
- Own the TR marketing calendar and the trade marketing agenda end to end
- Lead and align a multifunctional network across brand, sales, retail operators and lead markets
- Own the TR-exclusive and value-set strategy for the portfolio
- Manage the A&P budget with accuracy
Key Responsibilities
Brand & channel marketing
- Be the expert in the traveling shopper and the TR channel to drive strong insights and meaningful product, set and claim propositions
- Lead the TR marketing calendar and 360 launch plans across the premium portfolio, in close partnership with the global brand teams
- Adapt global brand campaigns and communication to the Travel Retail environment, ensuring they are fit to win at the airport shelf
- Build the TR-exclusive product and value-set strategy, including GWP and value mechanics, working closely with sales
- Coordinate agencies and internal stakeholders to deliver best-in-class visuals, packaging adaptations and activation assets
- Lead the key trade events across the year, including TFWA Cannes, to drive strong sell-in and high engagement behind the innovations and launches
Trade marketing
- Build the promotional calendar, animations and podium programs with retail operators (Avolta, Heinemann, Lagardère and others)
- Lead the implementation of new visual merchandising across brands, from concept and design through to door-level rollout and own in-store execution standards across the portfolio.
- Create sell-in tools, trade presentations and channel catalogues
- Support demand planning and forecasting for launches and promotions
Brand budget
- Manage project budget with accuracy, optimize spending and work closely with procurement
- Track sell-in / sell-out performance and ROI on activation, and report on results
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Management or Economics preferred
- 3-5 years' experience in similar global / regional marketing and/or trade marketing roles
- Travel Retail channel experience is mandatory, strong understanding of operators, airport dynamics and TR-exclusive mechanics
- Beauty experience is mandatory, haircare, make-up, skincare or fragrance
- Blended marketing and trade marketing background, comfortable moving from brand strategy to promotional execution
- Strong track record of strategic view, ability to energize teams and execute strategy
- Strong track record of autonomous problem-solving with minimal guidance
- Strong commercial acumen, comfortable with P&L, forecasting and ROI
- Passionate about beauty and trends. Creative mind, in touch with the latest trends
- Very organized and able to lead a multifunctional network, managing all stakeholders and timings in parallel
- Willing to travel for operator meetings, trade shows and store visits
- English mandatory; additional languages a plus
