The Platform Architect is the person who connects all these dots: architecture, extensibility, developer enablement, and governance. If you want to shape a global SAP landscape across a portfolio of iconic luxury Maisons, this is the role. /ph3HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT? /h3 Within the SAP platform team, the SAP Platform Architect defines and governs the SAP platform architecture across S/4HANA (ERP, EWM, GTS…), SAP BTP, and all integration touchpoints. Shaping the technology landscape, setting guardrails, and ensuring every extension or customisation is justified, sustainable, and future-proof. You will lead the OSBF Design Authority, promote Clean Core principles and SAP's extensibility strategy (side-by-side vs. in-app), and ensure alignment with both SAP's product roadmap and our enterprise architecture. Your impact spans across a multi-stream technical roadmap covering 4 strategic pillars: h31. Architecture Vision Roadmap /h3 ul liOwn and drive the architectural direction of the platform across Core Architecture, BTP Development. /li liParticipate in strategic architectural decisions such as use cases for BTP, Federated platforms (Mendix, Tulip, Pega…), ERP/EWM decoupling, S/4HANA continuous evolution, including associated topics such as Job Scheduling or establishing a Printing Platform for the group. /li liCollaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team on cross-cutting concerns such as Disaster Recovery design and enterprise-wide technology alignment. /li liEvolve the Platform to further integrate CI/CD practices. /li liIntegrate Richemont AI strategy in the platform roadmap design. /li liDefine consumable and reusable services for product teams that accelerate delivery, increase product teams' autonomy, and reduce the need for custom development, duplicated effort, and reliance on central platform expertise. /li /ul h32. Clean Core Governance Extensibility Strategy /h3 ul liDefine and enforce Clean Core guidelines: minimise custom code, maximise standard, and leverage key-user extensibility and BTP side-by-side extensions. /li liOwn the decision framework for "where to extend": in-app (BAdIs, RAP, key-user extensibility) vs. side-by-side (CAP on BTP, Integration Suite, or Federated Platforms). /li liGuide product teams on the right extensibility pattern for each use case. /li liConduct architecture reviews for all significant developments. /li /ul h33. Standards, Patterns Guardrails /h3 ul liIntegrates Group Standards for reusable architecture patterns, in particular for API design and ownership, event-driven integration, data models, CDS views, and Fiori apps. /li liChampion configuration as Code for sap platforms, including BTP (Terraform) which adheres to Richemont guidelines in terms of security, Identity management and connectivity. /li liPublish and maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and reference architectures. /li liGuide the technical archiving and data volume management strategy and application retirement (ILM). /li liProvide architectural direction on data lifecycle decisions that impact platform performance, storage costs, and compliance. /li /ul h34. Community Enablement /h3 ul liParticipate in cross-team design reviews and lead the SAP platform Architecture Board. /li liEstablish and animate an Architect Community across the product teams. /li liStay ahead of SAP technology evolution through continuous learning, SAP community engagement, and vendor dialogue. /li /ul h3HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US? /h3 h3Education Experience /h3 ul li10+ years of progressive experience in SAP ecosystems, with deep expertise across S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and hybrid integration landscapes. /li li3+ years in an SAP platform architecture role. /li liMaster’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience. /li /ul h3Technical Expertise /h3 ul liSAP S/4HANA: Deep understanding of S/4HANA architecture, Clean Core methodology, custom code analysis (ATC, Custom Code Migration app), and extensibility options (BAdIs, RAP, key-user extensibility). /li liSAP BTP: Strong knowledge of the BTP service portfolio — CAP, Integration Suite, SAP Build Work Zone, HANA Cloud, AI Core / Generative AI Hub, Event Mesh, Destination Connectivity services. /li liArchitecture Patterns: Proven expertise in API-first design, event-driven architecture, side-by-side extensions, and Fiori/UX architecture. /li liUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines, configuration as code - Terraform /li liSecurity Awareness: Solid understanding of SAML 2.0, OIDC, SSO, and identity management concepts /li liRISE: Understanding of the RISE with SAP operating model and SAP Cloud ALM. /li /ul h3Soft Skills Behaviours /h3 ul liVisionary yet pragmatic: Balances long-term architecture ambition with short-term delivery reality (strategic vs. tactical). /li liStrong conviction with open mind: Defends architectural principles but listens to field constraints. /li liExcellent communicator: Explains complex architecture concepts to business stakeholders, product teams, and technical audiences alike. /li liCollaborative authority: Influences without commanding; earns trust through expertise.
