For the PEARL beamline at the Swiss Light Source we are looking for a /ph3Your tasks /h3ulliDevelop theoretical models to describe the atomic and electronic structure of altermagnetic materials as measured in photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS, ARPES) and scanning probe microscopy STM (computational focus) /liliMaintain and develop computational tools in collaboration with the team /liliCollaborate with experimental and theoretical partners /liliAssist other team members performing experiments at the SLS and other light sources /liliParticipate in the international scientific community by presenting your results at international conferences and publish them in peer-reviewed scientific journals /li /ulh3Your profile /h3ulliPhD degree in physics or a related field /liliStrong expertise in theoretical modeling of condensed matter systems and their surfaces /liliStrong computing skills including programming and experience with high-performance computing /liliSuccessful first author publications /liliFluent in both written and spoken English /li /ulh3We offer /h3pOur institution is based on an interdisciplinary, innovative and dynamic collaboration.
