Senior Process Engineer

It also means combining our efforts and talents towards a more sustainable future – together. /ppThe role is based in bWitterswil, Solothurn, Switzerland /b and will require some international travelling. /ph3HowYou’llMake an Impact: /h3pMain responsibility: Support capital projects from concept through commissioning: /pulliDesign, calculate and optimize processes in the fields of ultrapure water and wastewater treatment, including: /liliFiltration, activated carbon filters, advanced oxidation processes /liliReverse osmosis, ion exchange, EDI, UF/MF /liliDegasification, UV oxidation, TOC reduction /liliChemical treatment, biological treatment, ZLD systems /liliDevelop and review process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (PIDs), mass balances, and equipment specifications for major equipment items /liliGenerate technical specifications for packaged units, process equipment /liliParticipate in design reviews and clarifications at the early stages of process and basic engineering works /liliGenerate process description and logic documents for complex water and wastewater treatment systems /liliParticipate in HAZOP, FMEA and safety review or assessment /liliWork closely within the other engineering department and support project managers on project activities /liliPrepare documentation for submission and support project team on plant start-up, performance test, optimization and hand-over. /liliSupport project team on commissioning activities, performance test, optimization, troubleshooting and hand-over /liliProvide training to the end customer operation and maintenance teams /li /ulh3Other responsibilities: /h3ulliProvide technical support to the Ecolab operation and maintenance teams (training, guidance) /liliTroubleshoot process upsets and contamination events /liliMonitor system performance and water quality parameters (e.g., resistivity, TOC, silica, metals) /liliConduct audit of a running system and provide audit report /liliWork closely with the innovation teams to develop new processes and digital tools /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliMaster’s degree or engineering school graduate in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field /liliBachelor’s degree with strong experience in UPW and /or wastewater treatment for semiconductor industry will be considered /liliRequire minimum 5 years experience with good knowledge in process control, water and waste water treatment systems. /liliExperience in regulated or high‑purity industries (semiconductor, pharmaceuticals, biotech, energy…) /liliStrong understanding of water chemistry and treatment processes /liliAbility to interpret process data and laboratory results /liliAnalytical thinking problem-solving skills /liliAbility to work independently and in cross‑functional teams /liliSelf-initiative and creativity, flexible and able to work under pressure /liliStrong communication and technical documentation abilities for collaboration with internal international departments, suppliers and customers /liliMobility and willingness to travel worldwide, including extended trips /liliEnglish proficiency for daily business; German, French or other languages are an added value /liliSwiss or EU citizenship or a C Swiss resident permit /li /ulh3What’s in it for you: /h3ulliA competitive salary /liliFlexible working hours /liliBeing part of an international team with travel opportunities /liliEngage with cutting-edge ultrapure water technology for the electronics industry in a state-of-the-art technology centre in Switzerland /liliAlways new challenges to solve /liliEntry date with immediate effect or by mutual agreement /liliAt Ecolab we are committed to providing working environments where everyone is included and treated fairly and with respect /li /ulh3About Ecolab: /h3pAt Ecolab, we prioritize our talent-first philosophy by creating the most capable and diverse team to excel at ournearly threemillion customer sites.
