Weekend Nanny / Family Mentor in Engelberg, Obwalden

A family based in Engelberg, Obwalden, is looking for an experienced and responsible Weekend Nanny / Family Mentor to support their two sons, aged 8 and 11. The family is looking for someone who can become a trusted and positive presence in the boys’ lives, providing guidance, mentorship and support while creating a fun, structured and nurturing environment.

Location: Engelberg, Obwalden, Switzerland

Schedule: Friday to Sunday, approximately 25 - 30 hours per week

Start: September/October

Accommodation: Live-In (for the 3 days working) or live-out

Languages: English or German

Responsibilities:

• Providing attentive and engaging care throughout the weekend
• Acting as a positive and supportive role model
• Providing guidance and mentorship
• Supporting the boys with their learning and education
• Helping to establish and maintain clear, appropriate boundaries
• Organising and participating in age-appropriate activities
• Preparing meals and cooking for the boys
• Supporting with school runs and short driving requirements when needed
• Maintaining a safe, structured and positive environment
• Supporting the boys' routines and encouraging their independence and development

When the family travels, the nanny will be required to stay at the family home and provide full care for the boys. This will include:

• Full responsibility for the boys during the family's absence
• Preparing meals and cooking
• School runs and other short driving requirements
• Maintaining their usual routines and activities
• Providing a safe, caring and structured environment

Requirements

• Must hold a valid Swiss/EU Passport or a Swiss work permit
• Have previous experience caring for children of a similar age
• Be able to establish clear and positive boundaries
• Be comfortable preparing meals and supporting with daily routines
• Speak English or German
• Be looking for a long-term position
