IT-Infrastructure System EngineerbrThe RolebrWe are looking for a motivated IT Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join our Infrastructure Network Engineering team.brOur team designs, operates and maintains the company’s physical and virtual infrastructure across multiple colocation sites and offices. We take responsibility for servers, storage, virtualization, Linux systems, core infrastructure services, hardware lifecycle management and operational monitoring.brYour primary focus will be Intellico’s data-center and server infrastructure, including Proxmox, Ceph, ZFS and Linux virtual machines. The position also includes selected corporate IT and networking responsibilities.brYou will work closely with the team to ensure that the infrastructure supporting our telecommunications and messaging platforms remains reliable, secure and maintainable.brKey ResponsibilitiesbrOperate and maintain physical server and storage infrastructure across Intellico’s colocation sitesbrCoordinate hardware installation, replacement, upgrades, cabling, rack space and power connectionsbrMonitor hardware health, power, temperature, storage capacity and environmental conditionsbrOperate and maintain Proxmox VE clusters, virtual machines and Linux operating systemsbrOperate and maintain Ceph and ZFS storage environmentsbrProvision, patch, upgrade and monitor Linux servers and infrastructure componentsbrOperate core infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, internal certificates and related network servicesbrImplement and test backup, restore and disaster-recovery proceduresbrMaintain infrastructure inventories, lifecycle plans, warranties, spare equipment and technical documentationbrSupport automation and configuration management for recurring infrastructure tasksbrCoordinate technical work with colocation providers, hardware vendors and external service providersbrSupport Cisco networks, Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs and general connectivity troubleshootingbrAdminister Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory and Exchange OnlinebrSupport employee devices, office infrastructure, Wi-Fi, telephony and meeting-room equipment where requiredbrParticipate in incident management, infrastructure changes and the compensated on-call rotationbrRequirementsbrPractical experience with Linux system administration and server infrastructurebrExperience with virtualization platforms such as Proxmox, VMware or comparable technologiesbrUnderstanding of storage technologies, preferably Ceph, ZFS or distributed storage systemsbrGood knowledge of server hardware, operating-system installation, patching and monitoringbrUnderstanding of backup, restore, high availability and disaster-recovery conceptsbrGood knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP and general network servicesbrExperience with Bash, PowerShell, or another scripting language is an advantagebrKnowledge of Cisco networking, Palo Alto firewalls or VPN technologies is an advantagebrExperience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID or Active Directory is an advantagebrStrong soft skills, including problem-solving, teamwork, ownership and communicationbrEducation in IT, systems engineering, computer science or a related field, eg:brInformatiker/in EFZ, Fachrichtung PlattformentwicklungbrICT-Fachmann/-frau EFZbrICT-System- und Netzwerktechniker/in mit eidg.
