We are looking for a results-driven (Senior) Manager – National Tax Tax Governance to join our Global Tax team within the Finance function. In this role, you will take full ownership of Clariant's Swiss tax agenda while contributing to global tax governance, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Tax and based at our site in Pratteln, Switzerland, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a robust and forward-looking tax framework for a multinational organization /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liOwn and manage Clariant's Swiss corporate income tax agenda, including compliance, filings, audits, rulings, and negotiations with tax authorities /li liServe as the primary point of contact for Swiss tax authorities and lead constructive engagement on all related matters /li liAdvise business stakeholders on complex domestic and international tax issues with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach /li liDrive global improvement initiatives across tax processes, compliance, and automation/digitalization /li liSupport strategic corporate projects, including MA transactions, tax structuring, and long-term tax planning initiatives /li liIdentify, analyze, and proactively manage global tax risks to ensure full compliance across jurisdictions /li liMaintain, strengthen, and further develop Clariant's Tax Control Framework /li liSupport digital transformation efforts in tax accounting and provisioning /li liLead analysis of tax planning opportunities and contribute to group-wide tax strategy /li liCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Treasury, and Legal /li liBuild and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the global Finance organization /li liCoordinate with external tax advisors to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency in global tax matters /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liMaster's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Tax Law, or a related field /li liCertified Swiss Tax Expert qualification (or in progress) /li li5+ years of relevant experience in a Big4 firm or an in-house tax department of a multinational company /li liSolid knowledge of IFRS, Swiss GAAP, and Swiss tax law; strong interest in developing international tax expertise /li liProven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment /li liSelf-driven, highly motivated, and comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership and accountability /li liStrong analytical mindset with a hands-on, pragmatic approach to problem-solving /li liExcellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels /li liHigh level of integrity, dependability, and ethical conduct in all interactions /li liCollaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional, international environments /li /ul h3Our Offer /h3 ul li* Total Target Cash includes base salary and annual bonus; final offer based on skills and experience /li liA senior, high-impact role with genuine ownership of Clariant's Swiss tax agenda and global governance processes /li liDirect access to and collaboration with senior leadership within a lean, agile global tax team /li liExposure to complex, international tax matters across a global specialty chemicals company operating in 40+ countries /li liOpportunity to drive digital transformation and process innovation within a Finance function committed to continuous improvement /li liA workplace culture grounded in sustainability, collaboration, and integrity — recognized for consistent progress toward ambitious ESG targets /li liFlexible working arrangements at our modern Pratteln, Switzerland site /li liThis position is full time but also open for part time candidates to 80%. /li /ul h3Your Contact /h3 pRodrigo Winterstellerbr/Talent Acquisition Partner EMEAbr/Tel. +49 (0)69/ /p pClariant is a Swiss-based global specialty chemicals company, which is concentrated and developed in three business units: Care Chemicals, Catalysts and Adsorbents Additives.
