You ensure that all international business transactions, project deliveries, imports, exports, cross-border shipments, and related trade activities are conducted in accordance with ABB's Global Trade Program and applicable customs, export control, sanctions, and origin regulations. As the LBL's Trade Compliance authority, you define and maintain the operational trade compliance framework. You establish clear processes, responsibilities, controls, and escalation mechanisms and ensure effective implementation across all relevant functions. You drive the integration of trade compliance requirements into daily operations and act as the main point for complex compliance matters, regulatory changes, and risk mitigation. You are further responsible for developing, documenting, and maintaining procedures and training programs related to export controls, sanctions, customs, and origin management.br/ /p pWorking model is: #LI-Hybrid /p h3You will be mainly accountable for: /h3 ul liDevelop, improve and implement processes of LBL's customs procedures, origin management, sanction lists screening, dual-use classification and export controls. /li liFunctionally lead trade compliance resources in the LBL. /li liLead and oversee Trade Compliance within the Local Business Line (LBL), including the implementation and continuous improvement of ABB's Trade Compliance Program, internal directives, internal control system, local trade reviews, self-audits, and corrective actions. /li liProvide expert guidance and training on customs, origin, export control, and sanctions compliance, supporting the LBL, coordinating trade compliance resources and support functions, and maintaining strong alignment with key stakeholders such as CTCO, TCS, PCE, declarants, and logistics teams. /li liDrive Trade Compliance in day-to-day operations and complex projects, including risk assessments, internal checks, master data and supplier-related compliance requirements, and regular updates to stakeholders on implementation progress and relevant regulatory changes. /li liAdvise and drive all trade compliance matters in LBL's complex projects to different countries /li /ul h3What we are looking for: /h3 ul liDegree as a Foreign Trade Specialist / Manager or Export Control / Customs Compliance Officer with at least 8 years of experience in a relevant field (Senior Trade Compliance or Legal/Compliance background) /li liExcellent experience in free trade and preferential origins as well as in trade compliance matters /li liSolid knowledge in Swiss (GKV), EU and US (EAR) dual-use and sanctions regulations /li liExperience in an industry with large project businesses in various countries and ability as a people leader and solution-oriented team player /li liSAP and SAP GTS E4H experiences /li liFluent in English, German is a plus /li /ul h3More about us: /h3 pProcess Industries division delivers complete electrification and automation solutions, industry- specific products and lifecycle services across industries.
