Librarian / Information Manager (AI Knowledge Services)brSwisslinx is supporting an international organisation based in Basel who are seeking an experienced Librarian / Information Manager to support the transformation of its library into a modern, AI-enabled knowledge centre.brLibrarian / Information Manager (AI Knowledge Services)brJob description:brDeliver advanced literature searching, reference and research support to internal stakeholders.brProduce research briefings, current awareness bulletins and curated information resources.brManage the development and maintenance of print and digital collections.brAdminister library platforms, discovery tools and metadata.brCreate and maintain high-quality catalogue records, taxonomies and controlled vocabularies.brManage electronic resources, subscriptions, licensing and supplier relationships.brCollaborate with IT and business stakeholders to improve information access and user experience.brIdentify, pilot and implement AI-enabled solutions to improve library services and knowledge management.brContribute to digital transformation, metadata improvement and library systems projects.brDevelop curated information resources and datasets to support AI-assisted research.brMonitor service performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.brAbout the customer:brThis is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of research, libraries, knowledge management and emerging technologies.brWorking within a small Information Governance Management team, you'll play a key role in enabling researchers and subject experts to discover, access and make effective use of high-quality information resources. This role combines traditional library services with digital innovation, information management and AI-enabled service development.brRequirements:brYou'll be an experienced library or information professional who enjoys combining excellent customer service with technology and innovation.brThe following skills are mandatory:brApproximately 3–5 years' experience working independently in a professional library, research library or information management environment.brA Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Library Information Science, Information Management or a related discipline.brExperience delivering literature searching, research support or reference services.brPractical experience administering library systems and digital information platforms.brExperience with metadata standards, taxonomies and controlled vocabularies.brExposure to digital transformation, AI implementation, metadata remediation or library systems projects.brExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills.brThe ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently.brIdeally experience in a central bank or economic research institute, or a strong interest in economicsbrCompensation benefits:brThe opportunity to work in a diverse and international environment on a long-term basisbr50% working from homebr20 days working remotely from abroad per yearbrModern office in central Basel (50 minutes direct train from Zurich) with subsidised canteenbrTwo stage interview process (conducted via video call)brIf you're an experienced Librarian with a passion for information management, digital innovation and delivering exceptional research services, we'd love to hear from you.
