Field Service Commissioning Engineer – Automation Motion ControlbrJoin Our Web-Fed Solutions TeambrWithin the Services Performance Business Unit, we offer you the opportunity to join our Web-Fed Solutions External Field Service Pool as a Field Service Commissioning Engineer – Automation Motion Control.brThis is a full-time permanent position (100%) based at our Mex (VD) site, which serves as our corporate headquarters and production center.brThis role is intended for a professional who is passionate about complex industrial environments and capable of working autonomously on highly sophisticated automated production lines. You will be required to travel internationally for 50% to 60% of your working time, often on assignments lasting several consecutive weeks.brYOUR MISSIONbrCommission automated production lines in Switzerland and internationally.brPerform retrofit, modernization, and upgrade projects on existing installations.brIndependently plan and organize on-site commissioning activities.brDiagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to automation, motion control, electrical systems, and industrial IT.brProgram, modify, and optimize automation systems using Siemens TIA Portal and Siemens S7.brCommission and configure drive systems and synchronized motion axes.brPerform troubleshooting interventions both on customer sites and remotely.brCoordinate technical activities with customer teams.brValidate equipment performance and contribute to final acceptance testing.brTrain customer maintenance and production teams.brProvide structured reporting to Project Managers and Technical Support teams.brContribute to the continuous improvement of our products through field feedback and lessons learned.brYOUR PROFILEbrHES Engineering degree, ES Technician diploma, or equivalent qualification in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.brStrong expertise in Siemens TIA Portal and Siemens S7 environments.brGood knowledge of drive systems, variable frequency drives, and synchronized motion control.brProven experience in reading electrical schematics, industrial troubleshooting, and commissioning electrical control cabinets.brProficiency with Windows environments and virtualization solutions.brGood command of English (minimum B2 level) for technical exchanges and customer training.brStrong analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills.brAutonomous, organized, and results-oriented.brAbility to work on customer sites for several consecutive weeks in an international environment.brAbility to effectively engage internal support teams whenever required.brValid Category B driving license.brTECHNICAL ENVIRONMENTbrSiemens PLCs (TIA Portal, S7)brMotion Control Solutions: Bosch Rexroth, SiemensbrDrives and Inverters: Siemens Sinamics, Baumüller, Nidec, Schneider Electric, and other suppliersbrSiemens Industrial PCsbrAutomated production lines typically integrating 30 to 100 synchronized axesbrWHAT WE OFFERbrThe opportunity to join an experienced and highly respected team.brComprehensive training on our products and technologies.brExciting international projects.brA highly diverse technical environment combining commissioning, retrofits, troubleshooting, and technical support.brA high level of autonomy and meaningful responsibilities.brProfessional growth and career development opportunities.brThe chance to work with customers and cultures from around the world.brJoin us – and grow with us.brBOBST is an engineering company, pioneering intelligent solutions that shape the future of the packaging world.
