As a foundational member of the CUO Office, you will play a pivotal role in shaping its capabilities, focusing on building robust analytical frameworks and performance monitoring tools from the ground up. /ppThis hands-on position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who thrives on creating structure and driving meaningful change. While business decisions will remain the responsibility of underwriters, you will serve as a critical voice in influencing underwriting strategies and supporting data-driven decision-making processes. Prepare quarterly and ad-hoc performance reviews for leadership. /lilibUnderwriting Portfolio Steering: /bRefine risk appetite, recommend strategies for growth or remediation, support underwriting plans, and monitor execution against targets. /lilibRisk Aggregation Management: /bAnalyze risk accumulation across perils and geographies, monitor exposure limits, and integrate data into reinsurance and capital modeling. /lilibCatastrophe Scenario Analysis: /bConduct catastrophe loss scenarios, assess tail risks, and support stress testing, capital planning, and reinsurance structuring. /lilibPricing Profitability Support: /bCollaborate with pricing teams to analyze rate adequacy, validate assumptions, and recommend underwriting and renewal actions. /lilibPredictive Analytics: /bDevelop predictive models and leverage advanced analytics to support underwriting automation and decision-making tools. /lilibReporting Dashboards: /bCreate executive dashboards, automate underwriting metric reporting, and provide data-driven insights for decision-makers. /lilibReinsurance Strategy Support: /bProvide exposure and performance data to inform treaty and facultative decisions and improve retention strategies. /lilibRegulatory Capital Requirements: /bSupport regulatory filings, collaborate on risk assessments, and align portfolio decisions with capital efficiency. /lilibInnovation Technology: /bPilot AI models, integrate new data sources, and drive digitization of portfolio management processes. /li /ulpbWhat you’ll bring: /b /ppThis role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of commercial insurance, strong analytical capabilities, industry expertise, and a passion for driving innovation to optimize portfolio performance and deliver value to internal and external stakeholders. /pulliAdvanced degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field /li /ululliMinimum 5 to 10 years of experience in commercial insurance, with a focus on large corporate industry portfolios. /liliStrong knowledge of underwriting principles, risk aggregation, catastrophe modeling, and reinsurance structures. /liliGeneral understanding of insurance product coverages, resulting exposures and their triggering portfolio impacts. /liliProficiency in data analytics tools and predictive modeling (Python or R) /liliExpertise in regulatory compliance (e.g., Solvency II, NAIC), capital modeling, and risk management. /liliProven leadership and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and executive management. /liliInnovative and investigative mindset with experience in leveraging technology, advanced analytics, and digitization for portfolio optimization /liliNatural curiosity with a drive to uncover insights and understand underlying patterns /li /ulpbOur Benefits /b /ppWe continuously evaluate and update our benefit programs to ensure that our plans meet the needs of our employees and their dependents.
