The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical understanding and enthusiasm for turning technical concepts into reliable, working machines. /p pOur client is transforming construction through automation. They're based in Switzerland, with in-house workshops and robot testing facilities. /p pbAbout the role: /b /p pAs a Polymechanic / Mechatronics Technician, you will be a key part of the shopfloor team, taking ownership of the assembly and installation of complex mechanical and mechatronic systems. You will actively contribute to the development, build and optimisation of new solutions for automated rebar processing and rebar cage assembly. You will be responsible for translating engineering documentation into functional, reliable machines and will be involved throughout the entire lifecycle of our products, from initial build through to customer deployment and ongoing service. If you are a structured and precise worker who enjoys hands-on problem-solving and wants to see your work deployed in real-world industrial environments, this role is for you. /p pbWhat You’ll Be Working On: /b /p pYou will work closely with the engineering team to ensure the robotic solutions are built to the highest standards and successfully deployed to customers. /p pbYour work will include /b: /p ul liAssemble and install complex mechanical and mechatronic assemblies, robotic cells and prototype systems. /li liActively contribute to the development, build and optimisation of new solutions. /li liPerform functional tests and factory acceptance testing. /li liSupport or lead the mechanical aspects of installation, commissioning and re-commissioning at customer sites. /li liCarry out maintenance, repair and service work on installed systems. /li /ul pbKey Responsibilities /b /p ul liAssemble and install complex mechanical and mechatronic assemblies, robotic cells and prototype systems based on engineering documentation, including CAD models, drawings and bills of materials. /li liDiagnose technical issues and document deviations, changes and improvement opportunities identified during assembly and commissioning. /li liHelp ensure project targets for quality, safety and delivery schedules are met. /li liSupport procurement by specifying and ordering mechanical components, standard parts and spare parts. /li liContribute actively to continuous improvement, helping make our machines more robust, reliable and service-friendly. /li /ul pbBackground and Skills /b /p ul liCompleted vocational apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification as a Polymechanic, Mechatronics Technician, Plant or Systems Engineer, or in a comparable mechanical/manufacturing discipline. /li liIdeally, completed or ongoing further education as a Dipl. Technician HF in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Systems Engineering or a comparable advanced technical qualification. /li liPractical experience in assembly, commissioning or service within machinery, industrial equipment, robotics, special-purpose machinery or automation. /li liStrong mechanical understanding and enthusiasm for turning technical concepts into reliable, working machines. /li liExperience working in industrial environments. Exposure to robotics, and industrial automation is an advantage. /li liSolid CAD skills enabling you to understand designs, identify issues and make straightforward adjustments where required. /li liA structured, precise and independent working style, with strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on mindset. /li liProficiency with industrial communication standards, PLC programming.
