Today, Ageas Re serves clients globally, specializing in property and casualty treaty reinsurance. /p h3Your function /h3 ul liUnderwriting of treaty reinsurance business, ensuring profitable and sustainable growth. /li liEvaluate, price, and negotiate complex reinsurance contracts autonomously. /li liApply underwriting guidelines, pricing methodologies, and best practices. /li liConduct in‑depth risk analysis and assess market, client, and portfolio performance. /li liManage and strengthen relationships with key clients and brokers worldwide. /li liRepresent Ageas Re at market meetings, client visits, industry conferences, and international events. /li liAct as a spokesperson for reinsurance topics and market development. /li liPartner closely with actuarial, portfolio management, risk management, legal, finance, and operations teams. /li liProvide technical leadership and guidance to junior and assistant underwriters. /li liContribute to strategic projects, product development, and process optimization. /li liEnsure accuracy and completeness of underwriting data, documentation, and reporting. /li liSupport and challenge internal risk assessments and capital allocation decisions. /li liMonitor portfolio performance, market trends, and competitor positioning to support strategic steering. /li liEnsure compliance with underwriting policies, procedures, and Group standards. /li /ul h3Your profile /h3 ul liA bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, actuarial science, finance, engineering, or related field. /li liMinimum 3-5 years of experience in reinsurance underwriting, preferably in a German speaking market /li liStrong analytical, modelling, and risk‑assessment skills. /li liExcellent command of MS Office tools, especially Excel. /li liStrong sense of ownership, accountability, and reliability. /li liConfident communicator with excellent negotiation and relationship‑building skills. /li liAbility to manage complex workloads, tight deadlines, and peak renewal pressures. /li liCurious, proactive, and comfortable challenging the status quo. /li liTeam‑oriented leader and mentor with a collaborative mindset. /li liFull professional proficiency in English and German.
