Director, Platform and Integration Lead

Today, Blockstream builds secure Bitcoin and Layer-2 technologies used by banks, financial institutions, and enterprises worldwide. /ppWe are seeking a bDirector, Platform Integration Lead /b, a senior leadership role responsible for defining how client platforms are technically realized across systems, data environments, and Blockstream infrastructure. /ppThis role operates in close partnership with the bDirector, Industry Lead, Financial Services /b, translating industry-specific solution strategies and reference architectures into bscalable, production-ready platform implementations /b. While the Industry Lead defines what should be built and why based on market and client needs, the Platform Integration Lead defines how those solutions are architected, integrated, and delivered at scale. /ppActing as the bridge between the Head of Solutions and the Head of Delivery, this role ensures that architectural designs are executable, interoperable, and aligned with enterprise-grade integration standards. /ph3What You’ll Be Doing (Responsibilities) /h3ulliLead the architecture and integration of multi-system client platforms, connecting banking systems, enterprise infrastructure, and Blockstream technologies /liliPartner closely with: /liulliDirector, Industry Lead, Financial Services to translate industry solution strategy and reference architectures into platform designs /liliHead of Solutions to refine platform architecture and technical direction /liliHead of Delivery to ensure systems are buildable, testable, and scalable in production /li /ulliDefine and own the platform integration strategy, including: /liulliAPI architecture and system connectivity /liliData flows, data models, and platform orchestration /liliEvent-driven architectures and messaging systems /liliCross-platform interoperability standards /li /ulliDesign how APIs, data pipelines, platform services, and AI-enabled capabilities interact to form unified institutional platforms /liliEstablish and govern integration frameworks and reusable patterns aligned with industry reference architectures defined by the Industry Lead /liliGuide engineering teams across: /liulliDevOps, CI/CD, and deployment environments /liliSystem integration, testing, and validation /liliPlatform scalability, reliability, and performance /li /ulliAct as the senior authority for cross-platform dependencies, integration decisions, and system-level trade-offs /liliEnsure alignment between solution architecture (what is designed) and technical delivery (what is built and operated) /li /ulh3What We Look For In You (Required Qualifications) /h3ulli10+ years of experience in platform architecture, enterprise integration, or large-scale system implementation /liliProven experience designing and delivering complex, multi-system platforms in banking, fintech, or enterprise environments /liliStrong expertise in: /liulliAPI-first architecture /liliMicroservices and event-driven systems /liliEnterprise data platforms and data integration /liliCloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) /li /ulliDemonstrated ability to translate high-level solution architectures into executable platform designs, working across architecture and engineering teams /liliExperience collaborating with industry/domain leaders and client-facing architects to operationalize solution strategies /liliStrong understanding of system interoperability, integration patterns, and distributed system design /liliLanguages: German or Swiss German and English required; French and/or Italian a plus /liliLocation: Switzerland (Zurich/Zug preferred) /li /ulh3Nice To Haves (Preferred Qualifications) /h3ulliStrong knowledge of Bitcoin and blockchain technologies /liliExperience integrating digital asset infrastructure into traditional banking systems /liliBackground in treasury management, corporate finance, or digital asset custody /liliExperience with FIX, OMS, PMS, fund administration, accounting, or market data systems /liliExperience working with or advising banks, asset managers, and institutional clients /liliExposure to traditional payment systems and cross-border payment flows /liliExperience supporting or scaling go-to-market teams in fintech or digital assets /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
