Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will combine scientific expertise, project leadership, and industrial mindset to deliver scalable and sustainable manufacturing solutions.Leading the development, optimization, and troubleshooting of chemical manufacturing processes.Supporting process scale-up and technology transfer from laboratory to pilot plant and commercial manufacturing.Driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase process robustness, efficiency, quality, and sustainability.Applying Quality by Design (QbD), Design of Experiments (DoE), Process Analytical Technology (PAT), and scientific data analysis to accelerate process understanding.Acting as the technical lead for customer projects, providing scientific expertise during client meetings and technical discussions.Collaborating closely with Process Research, Analytical Development, Production, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, and HSE.Preparing technical documentation including development reports, risk assessments, technology transfer packages, and regulatory support documents.Identifying innovative technologies and new scientific approaches to strengthen process development capabilities.Mentoring junior scientists and sharing technical knowledge across the organization.Contributing to the strategic development of Process Development through innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.Your Profile:PhD or MSc in Organic Chemistry, Process Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.Significant experience (5+ years) in pharmaceutical process development, ideally within a CDMO or GMP manufacturing environment.Strong expertise in synthetic organic chemistry, reaction mechanisms, process optimization, and scale-up.Good knowledge of Design of Experiments (DoE), Quality by Design (QbD), Process Analytical Technology (PAT), and statistical data analysis.Experience supporting technology transfer from laboratory to pilot or commercial manufacturing.Solid understanding of GMP requirements and ICH guidelines.Excellent problem-solving and scientific reasoning skills.Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, including customer interactions.Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high scientific standards.Fluency in English and French.Your Benefits:Free on-site parkingHealth insurance: up to 10% discount on supplementary health insurance through our partner providersGenerous and flexible employee share purchase planChild allowance: Siegfried AG supplements the statutory cantonal child allowance by 10% and provides an additional CHF 100 per monthIndividual learning and development opportunitiesREKA checks: employees benefit from a 20% discount on REKA holiday checksAttractive company pension planOn-site fitness classes and a wide range of company eventsAccess to the Swibeco employee benefits platform5 weeks of annual leave with the option to purchase up to 2 additional weeks of vacationFounded in 1873 in Zofingen, Switzerland, Siegfried has grown into a global network of 16 sites across three continents.
