Stellenbeschreibungh3About Flexion: /h3pAt Flexion, we're building the intelligence layer powering the next generation of humanoid robots. Our mission is to accelerate the transition from fragile prototypes to real-world deployment of humanoids. We are founded by leading scientists in robot reinforcement learning (ex-Nvidia, ex-ETH Zürich) and backed by leading international VC firms. Within a few months, we’ve gone from our first line of code to deploying real humanoid capabilities with our partners. /ph3 /h3h3strongThe role /strong /h3pWe're looking for a hands-on Robotics Engineering Intern (Mechatronics) who loves taking an idea from sketch to working hardware on a real robot. You'll design and integrate mechatronic extensions to our robot fleet - manipulators, sensor payloads, custom mounts - and own them end-to-end: from initial concept and CAD design through fabrication, software integration, commissioning, and testing in the field. /ppThis is a rare chance to see your own designs come to life on humanoid robots. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and pick up the integration and debugging skills that only come from putting your parts on a robot and watching what happens. If that sounds like something that would be fun for you, we would love to hear from you. /p h3Key responsibilities /h3ulliDesign mechatronic extensions to our robot fleet (for example new manipulators, sensor payloads etc) /liliMaintain our robot fleet /liliDesign mechatronic extensions to our robot fleet - new manipulators, sensor payloads, mounting systems, and custom hardware /liliTake designs from concept through CAD, prototyping, and fabrication to a validated, robot-ready component /liliIntegrate your hardware with our software stack, including drivers, interfaces, and commissioning on real robots /liliTest and iterate on your designs based on real-world performance, and refine them until they hold up in daily use /liliSupport the maintenance, repair, and readiness of our robot fleet /liliDocument your designs, integration steps, and lessons learned so the team can build on your work /li /ul pstrongRequirements /strong /pulliCurrently pursuing an MSc in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or similar /liliHands-on experience with robotic systems /liliExperience with at least one CAD software /liliGood programming skills in C++ /liliFamiliar with Linux/Ubuntu environments /liliAutonomous working style /liliCurrently pursuing an MSc in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field /liliHands-on experience with robotic or mechatronic systems (coursework, personal projects, internships, or lab work) /liliSolid experience with at least one CAD tool (SolidWorks, Onshape, or similar) /liliGood programming skills in C++ /liliComfortable working in Linux/Ubuntu environments /liliAutonomous and collaborative working style - you take ownership of a component from first sketch to working hardware /liliProfessional working proficiency in English /li /ul pNice to Have /pulliExperience with rapid prototyping and fabrication (3D printing, CNC, machining) /liliHands-on electronics skills (soldering, PCB design, sensor integration, debugging with multimeters or oscilloscopes) /liliFamiliarity with ROS/ROS 2 or similar robotics middleware /liliPython for scripting, tooling, or test automation /liliBasic Git and version control experience /liliA portfolio of builds, robots, or custom hardware projects you're proud to show off /li /ulpstrongBenefits /strong /pulliCompetitive compensation /liliA front-row seat at one of Europe's most ambitious robotics companies /liliAn energetic, collaborative team with a bias for action /li /ul
