Mechanical Engineer (100%)
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team of engineers and process enthusiasts in our production facility in Worben, Canton Bern. We develop, manufacture, and run production equipment for the cosmetics market to provide high quality products for our customers and consumers. Our team is currently working on optimizing our production plant in the Fine Fragrance sector. Our product has already reached worldwide market and it is reshaping this industry.
The Impact
As a Mechanical Engineer at Microcaps, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and developing our encapsulation process systems and help us scale beyond the current capacity. With your innovative and rigorous spirit, you will help us engineer our operations into world class, as well as designing and building our factory of tomorrow.
Tasks
- Perform planned maintenance tasks on Microcaps’ encapsulation lines
- Write maintenance task procedures
- Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems
- Design components and sub-assemblies to enhance equipment performance
- Conduct research into the feasibility of process change requests
- Work on continuously improving our environmental footprint
Requirements
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering
- 2+ years background in an industrial setting
- Functional knowledge of Autodesk Inventor or an equivalent 3D-CAD software
- Previous experience in preparing technical documentation
- Hands-on experience in machinery assembly, commissioning and maintenance
- Project Management experience
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
- Work permit in Switzerland
- Ability to successfully collaborate with cross functional teams including both internal and external experts.
- Team player and excited to work in a rapidly growing process technology company
- Automation projects experience
- Solid grasp of an ERP software
