h3Platform Software Engineer - Core Infrastructure /h3 ul liFull-time /li /ul pNexthink is the leader in digital employee experience management software. The company provides IT leaders with unprecedented insight allowing them to see, diagnose and fix issues at scale impacting employees anywhere, with any applicationor network, before employees notice the issue. As the first solutionto allow IT to progress from reactive problem solving to proactive optimization, Nexthink enables its more than 1,500 customers to provide better digital experiences to more than 25+ millionemployees. Dual headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland and Boston, Massachusetts, Nexthink has 9 offices worldwide. /p pNexthink helps IT teams delight people at work. Behind that promise sits a platform that takes in trillions of events a day from more than 15 million devices, running on a cell-based architecture that spans AWS regions around the world. The Core Infrastructure team builds and runs the AWS foundation that the whole of engineering depends on. The company has grown from on-prem to cloud and is now making room for new kinds of work, including AI and agent workloads, so there is plenty of genuinely interesting work to do on the layer underneath it all. /p p#LI-Hybrid /p pbWhat you will do /b /p ul liDesign, deploy, and run AWS infrastructure from end to end: from the edge and networking through to the multi-account cell architecture and the EKS platform. /li liMove between operational work, automation, requests from other engineering teams, and greenfield design, depending on what the platform needs that week. /li liAutomate as much as sensibly possible: the infrastructure-as-code and GitOps that provision, upgrade, and keep the whole estate consistent and free of drift. /li liWork closely with the product and feature teams, turning what they need into self-service capabilities and helping them stay autonomous. /li liKeep the platform reliable, secure, and cost-effective: upgrades, autoscaling, observability, and security hardening and compliance (FedRAMP, FIPS). You will share the on-call rotation with the rest of the team. /li liHelp the architecture grow: design new capabilities and take the platform to the next level of scale, resilience, and new kinds of workload. /li /ul pbHow we work /b /p pA few things that are true about this team and, we think, make it a good place to build: /p ul liIt is a team with real ownership. You look after your own areas and make the call on what is best for the platform, rather than working through a queue of tickets someone else has written. /li liWe do not work in a silo. We spend a lot of time with the teams who build on us, including a good deal of design work together, so the platform grows around what people genuinely need. /li liThe scale keeps it interesting. A cell-based setup across several regions on modern AWS tooling is a good deal more involved, and more rewarding, than a single-region estate. /li liWe are improving something that already works. The platform is live and doing its job. Our task is to take it from good to really good, so the problems are about pushing things further rather than wiring up the basics. /li liLike everyone here we use AI tools day to day, and we are steadily moving the more repetitive operational work onto automation. We would rather have engineers than operators, and we do the automation carefully, because infrastructure is not somewhere to be careless. /li /ul pbWho you are /b /p pThis matters to us more than any single item on the list below. We are looking for someone who: /p ul liWorks well on their own. You can join a call, understand what a team really needs, and come back with a sensible plan. You think about the problem rather than wait to be told what to do. /li liCommunicates clearly and enjoys working with people. Requests come from a lot of directions, and you are comfortable with that. If you have done this in a smaller company or a lean team, that experience counts for a great deal here. /li liIs pragmatic and cares about quality. You know when something needs doing now and when it needs doing properly, and you can juggle a few things at once without dropping any of them. /li /ul pbWhat you will bring /b /p pbThe essentials /b /p ul liA solid cloud infrastructure background and good software-engineering habits, usually around 5+ years as a Platform, DevOps, Software, or Site Reliability Engineer. /li liA degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; or the equivalent in real experience. /li liStrong hands-on AWS across networking, edge, and compute (for example VPC, CloudFront, API Gateway, EKS). /li liSolid Kubernetes (ideally Amazon EKS) and infrastructure as code (Terraform or OpenTofu), with a GitOps mindset. /li liComfortable moving between operational work, automation, requests from other teams, and new design, and prioritising sensibly across them. /li liA production mindset: you care about uptime, security, and efficiency. And you communicate clearly in English. /li /ul pbNice to have /b /p ul liExperience in or near a compliance-driven environment (FedRAMP or FIPS is a real plus). /li liBuilding self-service internal developer platforms with modern tooling. /li liWorking with cell-based or multi-region architectures at scale. /li /ul pWe are the pioneers and trailblazers of a global IT Market Category (DEX) that is shaping the future of how the world works, giving our customers’ IT Teams total digital visibility across their enterprise. Gratuity is payable at retirement or resignation based on your last drawn basic pay. /li liBonuses for referring successful hires after three months of continuous employment. /li /ul pbr/Please note that not all the benefits listed above are available for temporary, contract, and internship roles.
