In this role, you will be responsible for delivering complex facility and equipment upgrades that support production capacity, regulatory compliance, and long-term business objectives.

Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from scope development and procurement through construction, commissioning, qualification, and project close-out. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, EHS, and external suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
You will maintain oversight of project schedules, budgets, risks, and key deliverables while ensuring alignment with site and global business objectives. The role requires strong stakeholder management skills and extensive experience operating within FDA-regulated pharmaceutical facilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead project activities required to scope, develop, procure, construct, commission, and qualify new equipment and facility upgrades
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams throughout the entire project lifecycle
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, ensuring delivery against agreed timelines, milestones, and budgets
- Monitor project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
- Ensure alignment of project objectives with local and global business strategies
- Deliver cGMP-compliant facilities and processes suitable for regulatory inspections and approvals
- Implement EHS-by-design principles throughout project execution
- Prepare and present regular project updates, including financial status, schedules, risks, and progress reports
- Coordinate qualification and validation activities through performance qualification
- Drive collaboration across internal teams and external suppliers to achieve project objectives
- Provide leadership, coaching, and effective communication to ensure high-performing project teams
Profile
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or related
6+ years of experience managing CAPEX projects within the pharmaceutical industry
Proven experience delivering complex facility, utility, equipment, or manufacturing projects in GMP-regulated environments
Experience with filling lines and Annex 1 remediation projects is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of cGMP regulations and manufacturing operations within FDA-regulated facilities
Excellent understanding of project management methodologies and project lifecycle phases
Good understanding of validation requirements, CMC considerations, and facility regulatory submission processes
Experience managing significant project budgets and financial reporting
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and coordinate activities across multiple functional areas
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to maintain a strategic, big-picture perspective
Excellent stakeholder management and leadership abilities
Fluency in German is mandatory

Contract Type: 12 month contract
Salary Range: 13000 - 14500 CHF AHV Salary per month
