The role supports strategic business initiatives by providing tax expertise on financing, treasury, international tax matters, and business transactions while ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and maintaining an effective tax governance framework.Key ResponsibilitiesCorporate Tax Compliance and ReportingOversee tax accounting, including current and deferred tax, tax provisions, and tax disclosures under IFRS and local accounting standards. Support external audit processManage and support the monthly and annual financial close processes, including year-end tax reporting and effective tax rate (ETR) analysisManage and support the monthly, annual and mid-term corporate tax projectionsManage tax audits, tax authority inquiries, and relationships with external tax advisors and auditorsCoordinate the Group’s corporate income tax compliance across multiple jurisdictionsSupport Group Board, Audit Committee and Asset Liability Committee reporting and presentation on significant tax matters where requiredInternational Tax and Strategic AdvisorySupport with the Group’s OECD BEPS Pillar Two compliance, including GloBE calculations, reporting, and implementation of legislative changesSupport on transfer pricing, withholding taxes, permanent establishment matters, and other international tax issuesProvide tax support for mergers and acquisitions, legal entity re-organisations, strategic projects, and cross-border business initiativesTreasury and FinancingAct as the tax business partner for Treasury, advising on intercompany and third-party financing, cash pooling, withholding tax, and tax-efficient financing structuresSupport financing transactions, dividend distributions, capital reductions, and other treasury-related tax mattersTax GovernanceMaintain and enhance the Group’s tax governance framework and internal controlsIdentify and mitigate tax risks while ensuring compliance with the Group’s Tax StrategyMonitor tax legislation and communicate business impacts and opportunitiesSupport in tax process improvements, automation, and digitalization initiativesBusiness PartnershipPartner closely with Finance, Shared Service Center, Treasury, Legal, Accounting, Internal Audit, and business leaders from all jurisdictions to provide practical, commercially focused tax adviceMentor junior tax professionals, where applicable, and contribute to the continuous development of the Group Tax functionProfile description:QualificationsUniversity degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Law, or a related disciplineSwiss Certified Tax Expert or both Irish Chartered Tax Adviser and Chartered Accountant, or equivalent professional qualification needed8–10+ years of corporate tax experience, ideally within a multinational listed company and/or a Big4 firmStrong knowledge of corporate income tax, tax accounting, OECD BEPS Pillar Two, transfer pricing, and international taxation. Indirect taxation knowledge is a plus.Experience supporting treasury activities, including intercompany financing, third-party financing, and cash poolingFamiliarity with SAP/SAP S/4HANA and other ERPs are an advantage. Tax technology is a plusFluent in English, other European languages are a plusKey CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound commercial judgement.
