As a company we value your contribution, we work with integrity, and we always put people first – so your impact really will change lives. /ppThe Financial Accountant, OCG Switzerland is responsible for the full-cycle bookkeeping of the OCG Switzerland legal entity in accordance with local and US generally accepted accounting standards. This role owns general ledger, bank, fixed asset, accounts receivable, accounts payable, intercompany, and VAT accounting, and drives a timely, accurate month-end close and group reporting cycle. The role manages daily cash operations, performs balance sheet reconciliations, and executes internal and external controls (including SOX) to ensure compliance and process integrity. /ppThe Financial Accountant acts as the primary point of contact for accounting matters, supporting the Finance Manager and partnering closely with the Global Financial Business Services (GFBS) team and other cross-functional stakeholders. /ppFlexibility to work remotely. /ppOur bFinancial Accountant /b is accountable for: /ppbTechnical Accounting Financial Control /b /ppApplies deep, working knowledge of accounting principles (local and US GAAP) to maintain accurate, compliant, and well-controlled financial records across the full accounting cycle. /pliPerforms full-cycle bookkeeping for the legal entity, including general ledger, bank, fixed asset, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and intercompany accounting. /liliRecords general ledger entries (prepaid expenses, cost allocations, accruals, and provisions) accurately and on schedule. /liliManages fixed asset accounting (acquisition, depreciation, disposals) in compliance with group procedures, local standards, and Coupa requisition/spend controls. /liliReconciles subledger balances (AP, AR, FA) against the general ledger and completes other balance sheet account reconciliations, including alignment between the group chart of accounts and the ERP system. /liliExecutes month-end close in a timely, complete, and accurate manner, including submission of actual figures to the group. /liliExecutes key controls and other internal/external controls to maintain SOX and regulatory compliance; maintains and updates process documentation. /lipbCash Liquidity Management /b /ppManages daily cash operations with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and optimal liquidity across vendor, payroll, tax, and intercompany transactions. /pliManages daily cash operations, including disbursements to third-party vendors, payroll taxes, VAT, and intercompany payments. /liliExecutes bank transfers and monitors cash positions to ensure optimal liquidity. /liliAssists in the preparation of cash-flow analysis and forecasts to support financial planning. /lipbTax Regulatory Compliance (VAT and Corporate Tax) /b /ppEnsures accurate, timely, and fully compliant indirect and corporate tax reporting in line with local and group requirements. /pliAccounts accurately for output and input VAT; reconciles VAT subledger with ledger accounts. /liliPrepares and submits quarterly VAT returns in a timely and accurate manner, including VAT payment processing and periodic turnover reconciliation. /liliAssists in the preparation and submission of the corporate tax package to the group. /lipbFinancial Management Reporting /b /ppDelivers accurate, insightful financial and management reporting that supports business performance review and decision-making. /pliPrepares and processes the monthly submission of actual figures to the group reporting system. /liliAssists with monthly analysis and variance explanations versus forecast and budget. /liliProvides analysis and information to support business performance review (BPR), as requested by the Finance Manager. /liliAssists with capital spending reporting, including variance analysis and commentary. /liliSupports ad hoc reporting and analysis requests. /lipbSystems, Process Continuous Improvement /b /ppLeverages financial systems and process expertise to drive efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement in accounting operations. /pliApplies working knowledge of financial and ERP systems, specifically D365 Finance and Operations, to execute and improve accounting processes. /liliParticipates in testing of new features and enhancements to the finance system to streamline legal entity accounting processes. /liliEnsures controls and processes are efficiently implemented; identifies opportunities to improve process documentation and workflows. /liliDemonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, to support analysis and reporting. /lipbStakeholder Collaboration Communication /b /ppBuilds effective working relationships across teams and geographies, communicating clearly and collaboratively at all levels. /pliActs as the primary point of contact for all accounting-related matters, internal and external. /liliPartners closely with the Global Financial Business Services (GFBS) team and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and complete transaction recording. /liliSupports the Finance Manager in developing and implementing effective financial policies within corporate guidelines. /liliCommunicates effectively in French and English (written and oral);
