Senior Software Engineer

pRole Overview The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the development of embedded software for UAV systems and associated hardware platforms while supporting the tools, test systems and processes used to validate and manufacture our products. /p pThe role requires a combination of expertise in embedded software development, hardware-integrated testing, distributed software systems and software quality practices. /p pKey Responsibilities Develop embedded software for UAV products, payloads, simulators and related systems. /p pDesign and implement software tools that support the production, validation and testing of hardware products. /p pParticipate in the development and maintenance of automated test benches using Python and C/C++. /p pContribute to software architecture discussions and technical design decisions. /p pCollaborate with hardware engineers, product management and customer support teams to improve product quality and user experience. /p pAssist in troubleshooting technical issues identified during product development, testing and production activities. /p pSupport the deployment, installation and operator training of test equipment at manufacturing sites when required. /p pParticipate in flight test activities and product validation programs as needed. /p pEnsure software quality through code reviews, automated testing, static analysis and unit test coverage. /p pContribute to the continuous improvement of development, testing and quality assurance processes. /p pRequired Qualifications Education Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, Distributed Systems, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. /p pExperience Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience. /p pExperience developing software in C and C++. /p pExperience working with embedded systems and hardware/software interfaces. /p pExperience developing software tools for testing, validation or automation. /p pExperience working with Linux-based development environments. /p pExperience using version control systems, CI/CD pipelines and modern software engineering practices. /p pTechnical Skills Advanced C and C++ programming. /p pPython development for automation and testing. /p pEmbedded systems development. /p pSoftware testing and validation methodologies. /p pGit and CI/CD workflows. /p pLinux development environments. /p pUnderstanding of distributed software systems and network communications. /p pPreferred Qualifications Experience in UAV, aerospace, robotics, industrial automation, IoT or connected-device industries. /p pExperience with wireless communication systems or wireless sensor networks. /p pExperience supporting manufacturing or production operations. /p pKnowledge of cloud-connected or edge-computing architectures. /p pFrench language skills. /p pPersonal Attributes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. /p pAbility to work independently and take ownership of technical tasks. /p pEffective communication and collaboration skills. /p pStrong attention to software quality and maintainability. /p pAbility to work in a multidisciplinary engineering environment. /p pLanguage Requirements English (Fluent) French is an asset but not mandatory Powered by JazzHR /p
