We are collaborative, creative, and experienced professionals and we’re looking to augment our team with other individuals who embody our values: care, be real, get it done, and have fun, seriously. /p h3Position Summary /h3 pThe Associate Director Commercial Operations will be responsible for supporting commercial decision‑making through robust forecasting, high‑quality data analytics, market research, competitive intelligence, and strong commercial data stewardship. /p pThe successful candidate will be a hands‑on commercial operations professional with strong analytical capabilities, a collaborative team player with excellent business partnering skills and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, entrepreneurial biotech environment. This person will work closely with Brand Leads, Country General Managers, Commercial Leadership, Finance, Market Access, Medical, and external vendors to generate insights, manage forecasting processes, and support strategic and operational commercial planning. /p pThis is an ideal opportunity for someone who combines strategic thinking with operational excellence, enjoys building processes in a fast‑moving environment, and is willing to go the extra mile to help the business succeed. /p pThis position requires an onsite presence in Zug, offering the opportunity to be deeply integrated into Mirum’s thriving company culture (remote working allowed according to Mirum policy and to be defined with the reporting manager). /p h3Job Functions / Responsibilities /h3 h3Forecasting Business Planning /h3 ul liLead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of commercial forecasting models across brands and countries. /li liPartner with Country General Managers, Brand Leads, Finance, and Commercial Leadership and facilitate the creation update of country level mid long‑range forecasts. /li liEnsure forecasts are transparent, assumption‑driven, well documented, and aligned with Finance and Commercial Leadership. /li liIdentify key forecast risks and opportunities and provide clear recommendations to support business decisions. /li liPartner with Brand Leads and Commercial Leadership to define research and competitive intelligence priorities aligned to key business questions. /li liDevelop research briefs, select methodologies, manage RFPs, evaluate vendor proposals, and oversee projects from briefing to final delivery. /li liSupport qualitative and quantitative research including market assessments, customer insights, patient journeys, ATUs. /li liMonitor competitive landscape across public sources (competitor activity, clinical trials, regulatory updates, congresses, investor materials, market access developments, and commercial signals). /li liTranslate findings and competitive developments into actionable commercial implications for brand strategy, forecasting, launch planning, and decision‑making. /li liEnsure compliance with internal legal, procurement, compliance, and pharmacovigilance requirements. /li /ul h3Commercial Data, Analytics Data Stewardship /h3 ul liDevelop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics tools (e.g., Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, Excel) to support decision‑making at regional, and country level. /li liTrack analyse sales performance, market dynamics, launch performance and key commercial KPIs. /li liTranslate complex data into clear, actionable insights for Brand Leads, Country GMs, Commercial Leadership, and cross‑functional teams. /li liAct as commercial data steward, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and fitness for business use, including governance, metric definitions, reporting standards, and documentation. /li liIdentify opportunities to automate reporting and improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability of analytics processes. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 h3Education / Experience /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree required, Master’s a plus, preferably in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Sciences or a related field. /li li5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or healthcare‑related commercial roles. /li liRelevant experience in Commercial Operations, Business Analytics, Forecasting, Market Research, Competitive Intelligence, Commercial Excellence, Finance Business Partnering, or Strategy. /li /ul h3Knowledge, Skills and Abilities /h3 ul liAdvanced Excel and forecasting model development skills. /li liStrong Power BI capability, including dashboard development and data visualization. /li liExperience working with Snowflake or similar cloud‑based data platforms. /li liAbility to work with structured commercial datasets, including sales, account, market access, CRM, market research, competitive intelligence, and performance data. /li liSQL, VBA, Python knowledge and how to leverage AI tools is highly desirable. /li liExperience with CRM systems such as Salesforce or Veeva is a plus. /li liFamiliarity with pharmaceutical data sources, secondary market data, claims data, prescription data, CRM data, or patient‑level data is beneficial. /li liUnderstanding of compliance considerations related to market research, data handling, and pharmaceutical commercial activities. /li liCollaborative, hands‑on team player, comfortable operating in ambiguity and thinking outside
