Job Descriptionbr/br/pstrongIntroduction: /strong /ppYou will support the integration and commissioning of services and infrastructure for the CMS Tracker construction at CERN, with a focus on the preparation and validation of services, as well as the reception testing of components and detector assemblies. The role also includes the setup and operation of test electronics for the commissioning of detector services and the functional testing of detector components and assemblies. /ppstrongFunctions: /strong /pulliPrepare and support the installation and commissioning of services and infrastructure for large detector assemblies (e.g. cables, racks and test setups). /liliSet up and operate test electronics and commissioning setups (e.g. interlocks, sensor interfaces and thermal test configurations). /liliPerform reception testing of detector substructures and components, including power distribution hardware delivered to CERN. /liliValidate integrated electrical services (power, signal and grounding interfaces) installed on detector assemblies and troubleshoot issues during construction. /liliMaintain traceability by updating the production database with acceptance test reports and installation data. /li /ulbrQualificationsbr/br/pHigher technical diploma or equivalent relevant experience in the field of Electronics or a related field. /ppAdditional relevant certificates are considered an asset /ppstrongExperience: /strong /pulliProficiency in the assembly, installation and wiring of electronic components (e.g. cabling, soldering, SMD components, sensors, boards). /liliHands-on experience with electrical testing and measurement techniques using laboratory and test equipment (e.g. multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes), including the preparation of test setups. /liliExperience in maintaining laboratory equipment and inventory, updating technical databases, and documenting testing procedures and results. /li /ulpstrongTechnical competencies: /strong /pulliAssembly of electronic components. /liliKnowledge and application of instrumentation and measurement techniques. /liliOperation and maintenance of electrical/electronic systems. /liliTechnical documentation of electric/electronics systems. /li /ulpstrongBehavioural competencies: /strong /pulliWorking in Teams: building and maintaining constructive and effective work relationships. /liliCommunicating Effectively: listening actively to others and letting others speak. /liliDemonstrating Flexibility: adapting quickly and resourcefully to shifting priorities and requirements. /liliSolving Problems: identifying, defining and assessing problems, taking action to address them. /li /ulpstrongLanguage skills: /strong /pulliSpoken and written English or French, with a commitment to learn the other language. /li /ulbr/br/Additional Informationbr/br/pstrongEligibility and closing date: /strong /ppa Diversity /a has been an integral part of CERN's mission since its foundation and is an established value of the Organization.
