We drive the accuracy, efficiency and agility in innovating the Molecular Lab experience for our customers and patients throughout their journey.The OpportunityAs a Software TechLead, you will be part of a cross‑functional team playing a pivotal role in facilitating agile processes and ensuring effective collaboration in developing software solutions. You will enable our Molecular Lab network to deliver accurate and timely diagnostic solutions and support the Diagnostics 10‑year ambition.ResponsibilitiesWork with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders (Product Owner, System Architect, Solution Architect, System Engineers, etc.) to understand and translate complex business and customer needs into effective technical solutions and communicate these to the team and stakeholders.Design and develop innovative software solutions that meet regulatory requirements and satisfy system quality attributes such as scalability, performance, reliability, maintainability, interoperability, and extensibility.Guide the team to adhere to best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration, to deliver high‑quality solutions and foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.Act as a mentor and role model, guiding and empowering team members, promoting a collaborative working environment, and contributing effectively to the team’s success.Lead by example to foster cross‑functional value delivery, establish a psychologically safe working environment, and hold people accountable by creating conditions for ownership.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Software Development / Engineering; experience in IVD software development is a plus.Several years of proven experience in software development, with a demonstrated passion and hands‑on professional experience.Experience working with Rust (ownership, borrowing, lifetimes), asynchronous programming (async/await), and common Rust libraries/frameworks (tokio, actix-web, rocket, serde, sqlx). If no prior Rust experience, willingness to learn and a background in a similar language (e.g., C++) is preferred.Experience with modern system architectures such as event‑driven architecture and Domain‑Driven Design, quality‑driven practices such as TDD and BDD, and containerization technologies like Kubernetes.Demonstrated ability to transform customer value into implementable solutions and to solve complex issues creatively and effectively.Excellent communication skills, fostering an inclusive and diverse environment and collaborating effectively within and across teams.Leadership by example, fostering cross‑functional value delivery and creating psychologically safe working environments.Motivation to make an impact on team members, the company, customers, and patients.Certified ISAQB or equivalent is a plus.Equal Opportunity EmployerRoche is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
