ph3Category Manager (CAPEX) – Construction Engineering Projects /h3 pA leading international life sciences organisation is seeking an experienced Category Manager (CAPEX) to support major facility expansion and infrastructure investment projects in Switzerland. /p pThis role is responsible for leading procurement and category management activities across construction-related CAPEX projects, with a focus on civil works, structural steel, building construction and interior fit-out packages. /p h3Contract details: /h3 pbJob Location - Visp, Switzerland /b /p pbJob duration - approx. 12 months (high possibility of extension) /b /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liDevelop and execute category strategies for construction and engineering-related spend /li liLead sourcing activities, tenders, supplier evaluations and contract negotiations /li liManage procurement of civil works, structural steel, buildings and interior construction packages /li liPartner closely with Engineering, Construction and Project teams to support project delivery /li liBuild and manage strategic supplier and contractor relationships /li liIdentify cost-saving opportunities through benchmarking and value engineering initiatives /li liMitigate commercial, supply chain and project delivery risks /li liMonitor contractor performance and drive continuous improvement /li liEnsure compliance with quality, safety and regulatory requirements /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul li10+ years of experience in Procurement, Category Management or Construction Sourcing /li liStrong experience in construction, civil engineering or CSA (Civil, Structural Architectural) procurement /li liProven experience supporting large CAPEX projects /li liStrong contract negotiation and supplier management skills /li liUnderstanding of construction project lifecycles and engineering environments /liliExperience working with cross-functional stakeholders in project-based organisations /li libFluent German and English /b /li /ul h3What's on Offer /h3 ul liOpportunity to support high-value construction and expansion projects /li liExposure to complex engineering and project environments /li liLong-term contract opportunity with extension potential /li liSwitzerland-based role with significant stakeholder visibility /li /ul pIf you have a strong background in construction procurement, CAPEX sourcing or category management and are looking to work on large-scale technical projects, we'd be delighted to hear from you. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
