As Director MA Tax, you will play a pivotal role in high-impact acquisitions, divestitures, partnerships, and global restructurings, providing expert tax leadership from deal design through execution and integration. /ppWorking with senior leaders across Tax, Finance, Treasury, and the business, you'll help drive value, manage risk, and influence strategic decisions that support Novartis' mission to reimagine medicine and improve people's lives. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliSupport and lead MA tax workstreams across transactions, licensing, partnerships, listings and reorganizations. /liliAdvise on tax matters throughout the transaction lifecycle, from structuring and diligence to closing and integration. /liliDevelop compliant, tax-efficient structures covering international tax, transfer pricing, financing and local tax issues. /liliOversee tax due diligence and communicate key risks, findings and recommendations to stakeholders. /liliReview transaction documents to align tax strategy and mitigate exposures. /liliCoordinate with Tax, Transfer Pricing, Treasury, Finance, Legal, advisors and integration teams. /liliSupport global and local implementation, ensuring execution, compliance and effective handover. /liliContribute to MA tax strategy, policies, governance and leading practices. /liliUse tax technology, analytics and AI tools to improve diligence, structuring, modeling and efficiency. /liliBuild networks, track tax and MA developments, and serve as a trusted contact for MA tax matters. /li /ulh3Essential Requirements /h3ulliMaster's degree in Economics with additional qualifications in Corporate Tax or International Tax Law. /liliAt least six years' experience in tax consulting, transaction advisory, corporate tax, or an in-house tax function. /liliStrong expertise in international corporate tax, transaction structuring, and tax due diligence. /liliExperience supporting cross-border mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, or large-scale corporate reorganizations. /liliAdvanced knowledge of accounting principles, including International Financial Reporting Standards and statutory reporting. /liliProven ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across global, cross-functional teams. /liliStrong interest in artificial intelligence and technology-enabled approaches to tax and transaction management. /liliFluent English, with the ability to communicate clearly and operate with confidentiality, sound judgement, discretion, and flexibility across changing priorities and deadlines. /li /ulh3Desirable Requirements /h3ulliKnowledge of tax technology, data analytics, or artificial intelligence applications within a tax function. /li /ulh3Benefits Rewards /h3pAt Novartis, we're committed to reimagining medicine together - and rewarding the people who make it happen. /ppExpected Annual Base Salary Range for role: 137,900 CHF- 256,100 CHF gross per annum. The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. /ppIn addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.
