ppAs a Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a key role in integrating laboratory automation into computational pipelines, delivering robust, user-friendly solutions that accelerate scientific innovation. You’ll contribute to projects ranging from automation UX enhancement and anomaly detection to predictive maintenance and Physical AI. Initially, you’ll join a pioneering project to develop an AI-powered lab assistant capable of designing and executing automated experiments on Tecan liquid handling robots. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign, develop, and encapsulate automation interfaces for liquid handlers and detection instruments using modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python). /li liDevelop and support SDKs (Python, C#, Go) for programmatic access by AI, data science, and scientific users. /li liEnsure APIs and integration layers are robust, well-documented, and optimized for developer experience. /li liDesign translation layers between experimental workflows and Tecan’s proprietary scripting language for seamless robot motion planning. /li liWork with protocol datasets and leverage large language models or code-generation models to produce reliable and safe automation scripts. /li liCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver robust, user-friendly solutions for laboratory automation, including building AI algorithms and features to improve product UX. /li /ul h3Background /h3 ul liCurrently pursuing or completed a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Robotics, AI/ML, or a related field. /li liStrong foundation in Python programming. /li liComfortable working with transformer-based models (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.). /li liFamiliarity with robotics control, automation, or motion planning; interest in laboratory automation and biotech. /li liExperience with laboratory automation systems is a plus. /li liKnowledge of C++ and/or C# and understanding of lab protocols is nice to have. /li liEnglish required; German is a plus. /li liStrong team player with excellent communication and technical presentation skills. /li liBrings passion and talent to the role, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and iterate quickly. /li /ul h3What Makes Working at Tecan Unique /h3 ul liWorking in an international and diverse environment /li liThe chance to grow your career within the company /li liFeel empowered by our strong and unique company culture /li liComprehensive compensation and benefits package /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
