We place specialist talent into contract and permanent positions in the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices and CRO industries. /p h3CAPEX Procurement Project Buyer – CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) /h3 pOur client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, both in the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is recruiting for a talented CAPEX Procurement Project Buyer to be based in Visp, Switzerland for an initial 12 months contract with high chances of extension. /p pThe CAPEX Procurement Project Buyer – CSA is responsible for leading sourcing activities for Construction Services within capital investment projects. The role ensures alignment between company’s business needs and supply market capabilities, driving cost optimisation, supplier performance, and risk mitigation. Acting as a strategic partner to engineering and project teams, this position plays a key role in delivering high‑value procurement solutions that support company’s growth and operational excellence. /p h3Main Responsibilities: /h3 ul liRun RFx and vendor selection process during project execution and early phases /li liIdentify current and long‑term needs of company’s businesses by cultivating relationships with the relevant collaborators, to ensure procurement activities effectively support business strategies /li liImprove and implement the category strategy for CSA that matches supply market capabilities with our business needs /li liEnsure objectives, actions and priorities are aligned both within Procurement and with Global Engineering and other relevant collaborators /li liWork closely with key collaborators to develop cost reduction strategies and implementation plans that meet project / business needs /li liProvide active leadership and change management support that challenges traditional spending behaviour, product and service level definition to enable productivity and efficiency improvements beyond traditional sourcing levers /li liLead supplier relationship management (SRM) and supplier development activities to ensure reliable supply and improve the full value of supplier relationships /li liDrive supplier performance, compliance and accountability through supplier scorecards and performance metrics /li liAct as the primary point of contact above projects in case of issue customer concern /li liHandle partner concerns of issues, in conjunction with Contracts and Claims managers /li liDevelop supply risk management strategies and drive development and implementation of appropriate risk mitigation plans /li liWork closely with Project Procurement colleagues to ensure category strategies are translated into project execution plans /li liNegotiate Construction Services Agreement and Framework Agreement with vendors /li liPlan, lead and complete negotiations of commercial terms and contracting for framework, master and other major supply agreements /li /ul h3Qualifications and Experience: /h3 ul liRelevant Swiss working/residency permit and/or Swiss/EU‑Citizenship required /li liMinimum – Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Civil Engineering. In addition, a Master’s degree in Business Management is a plus /li liGood technical understanding and knowledge of Civil Engineering and Construction /li li10+ years in Procurement, with at least 5 years in Category Management /li liExperience in a regulated industry (i.e. pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics) is preferred /li liDemonstrated experience developing and implementing sourcing strategies that have yielded measurable business results /li liPertinent Category experience in CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) /li liLicenses or Certifications: CIPS required /li liFluent English with minimum B2 level in German /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
