Senior Microsoft System Engineer (Enterprise Infrastructure)

h3strongAbout the Role /strong /h3pWe are looking for an experienced strongSenior Microsoft System Engineer /strong to join a large-scale enterprise IT environment. You will play a key role in the administration, optimization, automation and continuous improvement of the Microsoft infrastructure while ensuring high availability, security and operational excellence. /ppThis role requires strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset and the ability to operate within complex enterprise environments supporting more than 1,000 users. /p h3strongYour Responsibilities /strong /h3ulliAdminister, maintain and continuously improve enterprise Microsoft server environments. /liliInstall, configure and manage Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure (Windows Server 2016 and newer). /liliPerform server patching, lifecycle management and infrastructure updates. /liliManage and maintain Microsoft Active Directory, including users, groups, permissions and security policies. /liliSupport and further develop enterprise identity and access management solutions. /liliAdminister Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity environments. /liliManage and operate ADFS and/or Okta authentication services. /liliImplement and integrate Microsoft System Center solutions, with a strong focus on Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM). /liliDevelop, maintain and optimize PowerShell scripts and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency. /liliAnalyse system, application and event logs to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues. /liliParticipate in infrastructure projects, platform improvements and technology upgrades. /liliDocument system changes, operational procedures and technical implementations. /liliWork according to ITIL best practices, including Incident, Problem, Change and Service Request Management. /liliContribute to the strategic evolution and modernization of the enterprise infrastructure. /li /ulpstrongRequirements /strong /ph3strongRequired Qualifications /strong /h3h3strongProfessional Experience /strong /h3ulliSeveral years of hands-on experience as a Microsoft System Engineer within complex enterprise environments. /liliProven experience supporting enterprise infrastructures with more than 1,000 users. /liliSenior or Expert level with demonstrated technical leadership and deep infrastructure expertise. /li /ulh3strongbrTechnical Skills /strong /h3h3strongMicrosoft Infrastructure /strong /h3ulliStrong expertise with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or newer. /liliExcellent knowledge of enterprise server security best practices. /liliExtensive experience with server installation, configuration, patching and update management. /liliAdvanced administration of Microsoft Active Directory. /liliStrong understanding of Microsoft’s Tiering Model (Tier 0, Tier 1 and Tier 2). /liliExperience with Microsoft Entra ID administration. /liliExperience administering ADFS and/or Okta environments. /li /ulh3strongbrEndpoint Systems Management /strong /h3ulliExtensive experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM). /liliExperience with Microsoft System Center solutions. /liliExperience with Ansible is considered a strong advantage. /li /ulh3strongbrIdentity Access Management /strong /h3ulliExperience with enterprise Identity Management solutions. /liliKnowledge of Omada and Adaxes is highly desirable. /li /ulh3strongbrAutomation /strong /h3ulliStrong PowerShell scripting skills. /liliExperience developing automation solutions for operational efficiency. /li /ulh3strongbrOperations /strong /h3ulliExperience analysing system logs, event logs and infrastructure troubleshooting. /liliSolid understanding of ITIL operational processes. /liliExperience documenting infrastructure changes and operational procedures. /liliExperience contributing to infrastructure improvements and modernization initiatives. /li /ul h3strongQualifications /strong /h3ulliRelevant Microsoft certifications are highly desirable. /liliStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. /liliAbility to work independently in large enterprise environments. /liliExcellent communication and collaboration skills. /liliEnglish language skills at B2/C1 level are considered an advantage. /li /ul
