ppWithin a small team, you will be responsible for the execution of your projects as well as the planning and implementation of usability development and design validation strategies for Medela's diverse product portfolio. We are looking for an active and well‑organized engineer who enjoys working independently as well as collaborating with internal and external partners. /p h3We are seeking a Usability Engineer (m/f /d) to join our team. /h3 h3How You’ll Make An Impact /h3 ul liLead and make strategic decisions on usability engineering and user experience activities for large‑scale projects/initiatives, including timeline, resources, and budget planning in collaboration with scrum masters and product owners /li liPlan and execute usability and design validation studies by adhering to IEC standards and FDA guidance, utilizing various analytical methods such as contextual inquiries, usability tests, focus groups, surveys, etc. Translate research insights into actionable design recommendations. /li liEvaluate study results to identify user needs and ensure the fulfilment of user requirements throughout the design process. /li liContribute to innovative concepts for future products and systems based on a deep understanding of user behaviors, needs, and pain points. /li liCreate wireframes and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas and validate concepts with stakeholders and end users. /li liDesign visually appealing, consistent, and on‑brand user interfaces aligned with user expectations and industry standards. /li liCollaborate with Marketing in co‑developing product and experience design with the brand, but also site maps, user flows, and navigation structures to translate user insights into comprehensive user personas and into intuitive and efficient user journeys. /li /ul h3What You Bring Along /h3 ul li3‑5 years’ experience in usability engineering for medical devices with relevant academic background /li liProven experience with UI and UX design, with a portfolio showcasing successful projects and impact on user experiences /li liStrong understanding of user‑centered design principles and best practices /li liExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams /li liReliable and high degree of autonomy and personal responsibility /li liLogical thinking and understanding of technical contexts /li /ul h3Your opportunity /h3 pAt Medela, you will be joining a global community of colleagues, united by the purpose that drives our business: helping people.
