The Senior Project Manager serves as a senior technical leader on capital projects, ensuring alignment to JJ standards and regulatory requirements. This role leads large capital projects, partnering with Quality, EHS, Operations, and external AE/CM firms. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liStrategic Project Leadership Delivery /li liLead large capital projects across all project phases (planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning). /li liCoordinate multi-functional engineering strategies to meet schedule, budget, quality, and regulatory requirements. /li liTechnical Authority Governance /li liAct as the senior technical authority, review and approve engineering design changes, and technical submittals. /li liEnsure engineering solutions align with JJ standards, industry codes, and regulatory expectations. /li liBudget Cost Management /li liLead multi‑million‑dollar capital budgets for assigned projects, monitor costs, and support procurement and contractor selection and evaluation. /li liParticipate in contractor bid reviews and support value-engineering decisions. /li liScheduling, Risk Performance Management /li liLead schedule development and integration with program timelines; identify critical path items and drive mitigation. /li liMaintain a proactive risk register, recommend mitigations, and track performance metrics. /li liConstruction Management Field Leadership /li liProvide senior owner-side engineering oversight during construction and commissioning; ensure contractor performance aligns with design intent and JJ EHS standards. /li liPromote a strong safety culture and ensure EHS compliance on site. /li liDocumentation Reporting /li liMaintain detailed engineering records, design documentation, and as-built information. /li liPrepare and present executive-level status updates, technical summaries, and risk briefings. /li /ul h3Education Experience /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management required; Master’s degree preferred. /li li10+ years of experience leading capital projects, preferably in regulated industries (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or similar). /li liDemonstrated owner-side engineering leadership and experience working with AE and Construction Management firms. /li liExperience leading multi-discipline teams and collaborating with quality, EHS, operations, and external consultants. /li /ul h3Skills Competencies /h3 ul liStrong technical judgment and problem-solving skills. /li liExcellent communication and leadership skills for multi-functional and executive interactions. /li liProven track record to lead budgets, schedules, and complex contractor relationships. /li liFamiliarity with regulatory expectations for facilities in regulated industries. /li liProficiency with project management and engineering documentation tools. /li /ul h3Additional Requirements /h3 pLocation of Role: Primary Location: Schaffhausen, Switzerland /p pLanguage Requirements: Proficiency: English German /p pTravel Requirements: This position will require limited travel (less than 10%) domestic and international travel /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
