The opportunity

We are looking for a Secondary Design Engineer to join our GIS engineering this role you will support the execution of secondary engineering deliverables for high-voltage GIS projects including Local Control Cabinet (LCC) and digital substation applications. You will contribute to engineering documentation across project phases and help deliver high-quality standard-compliant results while building your expertise in secondary design engineering and tools such as Zuken E3.

How youll make an impact

• Prepare schematics and related engineering documents for GIS secondary engineering scopes including LCC and digital substation applications

• Support engineering execution across project phases from base design and detail design through manufacturing documentation and as-built updates

• Create preliminary BOMs reports and manufacturing documents using approved engineering tools and standard processes

• Perform structured self-checks and contribute to technically correct high-quality and standard-compliant deliverables

• Support technical clarifications with internal stakeholders project teams and factories and help document and close open points

• Contribute to continuous improvement standardization and engineering best practices including participation in relevant expert communities

• Apply internal guidelines engineering standards and quality requirements while supporting safe and efficient project execution

Your background

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline

• 23 years of professional experience in secondary engineering design engineering or project engineering is expected

• Practical experience with engineering tools such as Zuken E3 or comparable ECAD / engineering tools is required

• Basic knowledge of GIS secondary engineering principles and applicable standards such as IEC IEEE or ANSI is beneficial

• Structured and reliable way of working willingness to learn and ability to collaborate across functions and disciplines

• Fluency in English is required; German and other languages are an advantage
