Senior OpenShift/Kubernetes Platform Engineer

ph3Responsibilities /h3 ul liOperate, maintain, and continuously improve the Bank’s enterprise OpenShift and Kubernetes platform. /li liEnsure platform stability, scalability, security, and performance across hybrid cloud environments. /li liPerform complete platform lifecycle management including installation, upgrades, patching, maintenance, and decommissioning. /li liParticipate in a rotating on‑call support schedule within a four‑person team. /li liDesign, implement, and operate enterprise‑grade Kubernetes/OpenShift environments. /li liManage networking, storage, security, and cluster services. /li liDevelop reusable container platform standards, templates, and base images. /li liSupport business application teams in adopting cloud‑native technologies and containerized workloads. /li liProvide architectural guidance for high availability, disaster recovery, and workload resilience. /li liDevelop and maintain infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. /li liBuild reusable automation frameworks using Ansible, Terraform, and GitOps methodologies. /li liImprove operational efficiency through scripting and automation. /li liStandardize platform configuration management and orchestration. /li liDesign and maintain GitOps workflows using Argo CD. /li liIntegrate CI/CD pipelines into infrastructure deployment processes. /li liPromote DevOps best practices across infrastructure and application delivery teams. /li liCollaborate closely with software engineering teams to enable automated application deployment. /li liIntegrate security scanning, compliance controls, and observability into the platform. /li liEnsure alignment with Bank security standards, governance, and change management processes. /li liDesign resilient platform architectures supporting disaster recovery and business continuity. /li liContribute to the Bank’s hybrid cloud strategy and platform roadmap. /li liEvaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements. /li liDrive automation initiatives across the infrastructure landscape. /li liPromote engineering best practices and continuous improvement. /li liWork closely with Infrastructure, Security, Networking, Storage, Cloud, and Application Development teams. /li liSupport development teams building cloud‑native, serverless, and containerized applications. /li liCommunicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liMinimum 5 years of experience in OpenShift/Kubernetes platform engineering within enterprise environments. /li liStrong expertise in OpenShift, Kubernetes, Linux administration, container technologies, and hybrid cloud platforms. /li liHands‑on experience with OVN‑K, Ceph/CSI, Quay, Argo CD/GitOps, Velero, Ansible, and Terraform. /li liProficiency in Bash, Python, and Go scripting. /li liSolid experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices. /li liStrong understanding of automation, platform lifecycle management, and cloud‑native technologies. /li liExcellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. /li liExperience with data centre infrastructure, networking, virtualization, and public cloud integration. (Preferred) /li liKnowledge of OAuth, token‑based authentication, and REST API integrations.
