ppWe’re building a new generation of endoscopes, designed to make minimally invasive procedures safer, faster, and more precise. Our technology helps surgeons access challenging anatomy and perform treatments with greater stability and control. /p pAs an EPFL spin‑off, we are a fast‑growing medical device startup developing breakthrough endoscopy solutions and preparing our first products for regulatory approval. This is a great opportunity for people who enjoy working in a high‑potential startup environment, where you can have a direct impact on the product and grow with the company. /p h3About the Role /h3 pThis RD Engineer role focuses on developing and optimizing our core product, the medical endoscopy system, with a strong emphasis on mechanical design, CAD, prototyping, testing, and hardware integration. You will be responsible for the design and development of the endoscope shaft, including the integration of actuation, chip‑on‑the‑tip camera modules, light sources, and data transmission to ensure high‑quality real‑time visualization for surgeons. /p pYou will work closely with the core engineering team. You will report directly to the CTO and collaborate with both hardware and software teams to deliver a seamless and high‑performance user experience. /p pYou will play a key role in advancing the performance of Dexterous Endoscopes systems, contributing directly to how surgeons interact with and trust our technology in the operating room. This role is suited for engineers who enjoy working at the intersection of hardware, manufacturing, and software, solving complex integration problems, and taking ownership of critical system components. /p pWorking in an early‑stage medical technology startup requires initiative, resilience, and a willingness to build and refine systems from the ground up. If you are motivated by the opportunity to push the limits of medical device performance and help deliver cutting‑edge endoscopy technology into clinical practice, this role offers that chance. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liStrong understanding of both hardware and software, including mechanical design and medical device manufacturing /li liHands‑on approach with mechanical testing /li liHands‑on approach with system integration, including camera and light modules, performance optimization /li liExperience working closely with external contract manufacturers and component suppliers /li liComfort working in a small team and taking full ownership of complex technical systems /li /ul h3Required Knowledge and Experience /h3 ul li4+ years of experience in system engineering, preferably in medical devices /li liFluent in English (C1) /li liStrong experience with mechanical design, mechatronics, kinematics, and prototyping /li liSolid understanding of both hardware and software integration, including tablet or embedded display systems /li liExperience working with ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304, IEC 60601‑1, and regulated medical device production environments is preferred /li liExperience from endoscopy or similar MedTech companies is strongly preferred /li /ul pDexterous Endoscopes is an equal opportunity employer.
