ph3Overview /h3pThe Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) invites applications for a Professorship in Applied Microeconomics (Open Rank) at the Department of Economics. The expected start date is bAugust 1 or September 1, 2027. /b /ph3Responsibilities /h3pThe successful candidate will teach courses in French and English at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels. Two courses will be given in French in Microeconomics at the Bachelor’s level. The research profile as well as offered Master courses should fall within applied microeconomics. Possible areas include, for example, labour economics, health economics, education economics, competition, personnel economics, or innovation economics. The position includes one b100% doctoral assistant /b. /ppThe successful candidate must have a doctorate (Ph.D.) in economics or a related field, and demonstrate an excellent research record in applied microeconomics, strong teaching skills, and the ability to supervise theses at the Bachelor’s and Master’s level. The University of Fribourg is bilingual (French/German). Fluency in French is required and knowledge of German (oral level B1) is expected.
