Stellenbeschreibungph3Company Overview /h3 pRIVR, part of Amazon is a robotics company pioneering Physical AI through real-world doorstep delivery. Founded in 2024 as an ETH Zurich spin-off, RIVR developed wheeled-legged robots designed to operate in complex, unstructured environments such as stairs, gates, doors, and uneven urban terrain. We believe that achieving general physical intelligence requires solving real customer problems in the real world, where robots can learn from rich operational data at scale. /p pFollowing our acquisition by Amazon in March 2026, we are continuing this mission with greater reach and speed. By combining custom robot hardware, onboard autonomy, and cloud-based coordination, RIVR, part of Amazon is building the next generation of safe, reliable autonomous robots for last-mile delivery. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul libNetwork Architecture Design: /b Define and implement robust, scalable, and secure network architectures integrating 4G/LTE, 5G (URLLC), Wi-Fi, and Mobile Edge Computing (MEC). /li libWireless Optimization: /b Evaluate and tune wireless performance (RF, antenna placement, signal reliability) to ensure ultra-low latency and high-bandwidth communication. /li libMiddleware Integration: /b Develop and maintain real-time data flow between the robot and the supervision stack using ROS2/DDS, WebRTC, and gRPC. /li libSystem Reliability Monitoring: /b Implement tools to monitor fleet connectivity, system health, and communication degradation across the network stack. /li libSecurity Implementation: /b Design and apply authentication, encryption, and secure message-passing mechanisms to protect robot-to-cloud data streams. /li libCross-Functional Collaboration: /b Work closely with Autonomy, Cloud, and Operations teams to ensure seamless end-to-end integration across hardware, software, and supervision systems. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Communications Engineering. /li li5+ years of experience in network engineering or robotics connectivity, ideally in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or drones. /li liSolid knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, WebRTC, gRPC, MQTT). /li liHands‑on experience with RF engineering, antenna design, and link budget analysis for mobile systems. /li liStrong proficiency with ROS2/DDS and middleware integration for real-time systems. /li liProven ability to design and test secure, high-reliability network systems. /li liExperience working with Linux-based systems. /li liArchitectures: Familiarity with cloud-to-edge architectures and MEC (Multi-access Edge Computing) deployment. /li liScripting: Scripting in Python or Go for testing and automation. /li liDomain Experience: Prior experience in robotics, teleoperation, or remote supervision systems. /li /ul pRIVR, part of Amazon is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team that values every perspective. If you’re passionate about driving innovation in robotics and creating meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply and bring your unique self to our team. /p pWe believe the best work is done when collaborating and therefore require in-person presence in our office locations. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
